only fittings makes for way way more points of failure and doing simple single 90 bends is extremely easy. you should really consider splitting your expected bends/90 fittings half half. i don't recommend doing complex multi bends as a first timer though.

also absolutely put a drain in from the start... the fill port you can do a temp janky thing each time you fill. but draining for maintenance, when you have to hold your heavy full of water PC tilted or upside down to get the fluid out..... don't do it... you will hate/fear doing maintenance so much you won't do it even when you can clearly tell something has been wrong for months.

that's not at all part of the conversation because we're assuming your v-sync on your target. and usually that's not too hard to acheive if you're not trying to be a 360Hz snob.

you're replying off of just assuming what the video says instead of watching it... you didn't even try to read the comments on the video.

watch the video that's not really the topic.
Essentially what the really point of everyone disagreeing is that biology doesn't work like a camera do (digital or mechanical doesn't matter)

also the video is made from the perspective of a film maker who just likes using 24fps for artistic reasons. but he completely destroys so many shitty arguments people make on this topic so i thought it was worth a share.

I honestly thought this was an April fools video because of how close it released but after watching it I think this guy is speaking seriously.

he spends all the video time breaking down all the bad arguments people make on this topic, because biology doesn't line up with a single generic number like cameras and screens do.

it's an "intent" and style thing.
a good cinematographer knows how fast he can swing the camera. a bad one doesn't and makes it look choppy.
either go really fast and motion blur will look good and create a transition or slow pan. but there's a dead zone in between that looks terrible.

the controller can choose which ports to sleep individually. and not wake up properly depending on the device.

my 2 front panel USB3, one has a bluetooth dongle in it and so stays awake but the other goes to sleep and no matter what i plug in it won't notice. Except if i move the bluetooth dongle into it...

frequency modulation is non specific. it could be done on both analogue or digital systems for different tasks. FM radio is famously Frequency Modulation.
but PWM as a control technique is a digital technique that does not modulate the frequency, so it's not FM. it's not used to store the data signal, it is just a control signal. it tells the thing at the other end of the wire to turn on and off in sync with it. it's just flicking the light switch really fast. and the thing that is modulated to change in PWM is the length of time the signal stays on vs off. as a percentage, because you can't be more turned on than all the time (i've tried...)

it's used in digital light diming (when the carrying frequency is too low it bothers many people because they can feel the flicker) it's used in speed control systems and it's used in controlling the heat elements on your cooktop and ovens. it can also be used in charging circuits and many other palces.

It's most likely that the view that did not get updated by using the "Apply to Folders" button was a file dialog. That's normal behavior for Windows 7 - 11. But it's also possible to hit the 5000 saved views limit or even encounter corruption in the  registry keys that contain those views. WinSetView will reset the views correctly regardless of the reason.

yeah sleep has never worked as intended for me... ever.

the computer even sometimes has specific ports that it keeps awake and you have to know which ones that is (the internal keyboard connector of laptops is still also usb protocol very often)
in some rare cases it's just bios settings for wake from sleep over usb only from mouse or only from keyboard (usually all USB is on a single setting though...)

it could also simply be a question of the GMMK keyboard using a fancy driver to do extra things with it's controller that doesn't play well with windows sleep state. while the OG mouse has never changed for 20 years.

sometimes it's also just windows being extremely dumb in how it kills background services that don't see activity for a long period (even without sleep)

SquintyG33Rs got a reaction from MrStubb in Need a second opinion on this build
it's hasn't even been announced. the 4070 hasn't even been officially announced... people are thinking it's gonna come out any moment now because nvidia did make the product already. packaging and everything is done. but they're not releasing it because they make more money holding it back and waiting for as many people as possible to crack and buy a more expensive card.
it didn't used to be this way.... but this is 2023.
I could be wrong... I'm guessing just as much as the rumors are. but I don't think we'll see it before the end of summer.

they will for sure patch it and fix some of it. (because some of the stuff is just ridiculous dumb decisions... somehow they think windows is gonna use multiple gigs of vram and reserve space for it explicitely. windows uses like 400MB in worst cases... I don't know which moron thought windows was that level of dumpster fire compared to console OS management but he's can't be a real programmer.)

there isn't any difference in upgradability in any AM4 B or X board. it's a bit of an oversimplification but for example I'm running a 5700X in a B350 cheapo board perfectly... it's my main machine. I upgraded from a 1700 to a 3600 to a 5700X (for different reasons each time) on the same board. some people thought these motherboards wouldn't be able to manage higher wattage parts (more than the 65W ones) but my 1700 was OC using 170W on full load the whole time I had it (I do 3D renderings so it spent a significant amount of time at that full load. think, cinebench running overnight). I know what I'm doing so I don't go around recommending a board quite this cheap to everyone but it is absolutely not a problem. I could even use the 5800X3D or the 5950X if I wanted to spend the money on one.
all the CPUs for the platform are already released and in the wild nothing new will come for this motherboard. So we know all the variables already.
PCIe gen 4 work on the GPU slot. I don't have a gen 4 m.2 drive so I can't test if that does work too but it's likely. to work on the one connector connected directly to CPU lanes. but even these are things that people argue about for the future because they think they'll lose performance over it but it has never materialized. you can still run a 3070 at gen 2 link speed and not lose any performance. so in 3 more years with gen 5 cards it still wouldn't matter that you're locked to gen 3. and m.2 performance for resizeableBAR and general windows experience is so much more about latency than total raw speeds, and those haven't improved quite so significantly in NVMe drives (** this synthetic test has not been tested by anybody in any video or article I've seen or can search for).
the performance of resizeableBAR in real games on a SATA ssd is suprisingly not that much slower than nvme.

6s you can care. but the difference between 2s and 3s i'm sorry but really?

so even if you do swap out everything on an AM4 motherboard doing upgrades, it will never be the reason for your bottleneck itself (unless it dies or breaks)

SquintyG33Rs got a reaction from RevGAM in Weird peaks during load
you clicking test doesn't mean the load is instantly applied. there might be a loading time getting the test in ram before the CPU starts working. there might be lower and higher intensity parts to the test.
and windows doesn't report usage in a way that is related to the amount of calculations happening. it's more like it's telling you if the queues are occupied or not.

if you have monitoring software like HW_monitor or HW64 you'll see they tell you how much power you're CPU estimates it's pulling at each moment. this is much more closely correlated to the actual computational load.

temps always rise sharply when load is applied. almost a 1 to 1 with the load % graph actually.

your graph has no numbers so we can't know if it's normal or not. it's fine for things to heat up if it's bellow 100C

heavy raw footage will be very hard to access over a remote network. the performance on the timeline will be terrible. So you wouldn't be editing/working on the server footage.
I don't think this is really what you expected but it's not clear so i want to make sure to rule that out.

for just having a network connected computer and uploading and downloading your work to/from it periodically (at the end of days or something) isn't really complicated from the hardware side. it's much more problematic setting up the software to be available online without seriously compromising your home network security. it's not just a question of "just use freeNAS" it's going to take you a bunch of research to understand what you're doing and changing so that you can actually manage it if something happens.

I would like to have it pretty soon, I'm finishing up high during this year so I need it either this month or next month! Although I would love to have the versatility of a framework, I just can't wait that long! Maybe once it comes out I could trade in the Razer for a framework in about a year or two!
