  1. Thanks! That first one is perfect and it'll be here Wednesday!
  2. So for the past hour I've been searching Newegg, Amazon, Best Buy, all the go to places, for a charging hub that fits this description. 4+ USB type C outs, a regular power outlet or two, and ideally not one that attaches direct to the wall as my outlet is behind my nightstand. I didn't think it would be this difficult to find something fitting that description. Is there any website or way to search for a hub based on output types? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
  3. Confirmed it as the power delivery for the 4 pin fan connector furthest from the code readout, which is baffling because that's the only one I don't and never had anything plugged in to, but that's the only one that's dead.
  4. Best I can tell it says MP9141ES which brings up this, looks like a DC to DC converter, so maybe fan power controller just for the far left outlet, which I don't have anything plugged into which is weird. I'm gonna attempt to find an old fan and test if that 4 pin is dead https://html.alldatasheet.com/html-pdf/1315008/MPS/MP9141ES/63/1/MP9141ES.html
  5. That’s the funky thing, both my aio pump and fans are still spinning up, so unless it’s only the one closest to the chip
  6. So, I have a Crosshair viii Hero motherboard with a Ryzen 5800x and 64 GB of Trident Z RGB ram and an EK 360mm AIO. The chip to the left of the AIO pump/ cpu fan headers (pictured) started glowing red hot and smoking when I booted up my pc just now, smelling of burnt electronics. However, my PC still booted and didn't crash or anything running a CPU stress test through fur mark, I did some rudimentary internet sleuthing and could not find a definitive answer on what the purpose of this chip is, evidently it's not necessary too boot but I'd like to make sure I'm not putting my other hardware at risk by running it. Any help would be much appreciated.
  7. Yeah basically anye specific time they talk about specifically manufactured E-waste, like them talking about any product thats really trash basically
  8. trying to find a WAN show episode where they talk about manufactured E-waste for a paper I'm writing, any help with finding applicable episode would be much appreciated
  9. then Id honestly just recommend leaving the gpu in the second slot as it makes no real difference
  10. you should definitely try that, also check and make sure you didn't get any thermal goop in the socket or on the pins
  11. my guess would be a cpu issue with a pin or two not contacting correctly, but you can always just rock the gpu in the second slot
  12. so whenever I plug in my Samsung monitor it only shows a white pulsing screen across the whole display, is this a mainboard issue or a display issue? wondering if its worth it to fix it?
  13. I may have fixed it, tried going to an old nvidia driver and I have yet to have the problem, Ill update if the problem happens again, thanks for the help!
