Jetster got a reaction from Visler7000 in pc show no signs
Short the PWM (power) header connections with a screw driver. See if that starts it. PSU need to be connected and on

Jetster got a reaction from Visler7000 in Mobo NO POST
This is why you don't update the BIOS if everything is working correctly. Does it have dual BIOs?
You will have to go to MSI for the RMA. Don't tell them you updated it. They will not cover that,
There are some tricks to fix it if you can't get an RMA. Its just not easy
Fry's wont help you at all

you can use magic jelly bean to get the product key.
Keep in mind, this key can only be used for THIS MACHINE, or another model identical to it.

Jetster got a reaction from connorpiper in dual gtx 760s with 600w power supply?
Only if its clean power. A Corsiar Seasonic Enermax and other high end PSU are fine. Buying a cheap 700w PSU Like Raidmax, Diaboltek, Thermaltake, Hec, Kentek, Apevia, Xion can fry your whole system. If you can only afford a Sesonic 550w or a Raidmax 700 then you get the Seasonic G550.
And there is nothing wrong with stressing a quality part. I ran two 7950s on a RM650 for over a year. Not one issue. But the RM650 is a quality unit and an i7 + 2X 7950 pulls 425W. BTY there is nothing wrong with too much power ether as long as it's a quality unit.

Jetster got a reaction from Faceman in GPU with 8350
Here another benchmark. If your ready to make the switch to Intel you can start with a G3259 Pentium dual core if you cannot aford the i5 and upgrade later. Broadwell will fit the 1150 socket Z97 release in 2015
GTX760 + G3258 just built this last week.

The FX8350 will not bottleneck on any GPU. Even SLI or crossfire. Its will score slightly less in benchmarks but you cannot feel the difference. Over clocked both I7 and FX are fine gaming CPUs. You cannot deny FX "bang for buck" CPU for gaming. The problem with FX is its a dead socket. They are discontinuing it.
Hell I can get desent benchmarks out of a Pentium G and a GTX 970.

Sorry to interrupt and burst your bubble but I usually just install my PSU into the case, plug it in with the switch off at the back which renders the case grounded. I can then clip to the case instead. Directly to ground through the PSU.

The fx8350 will not be bottlenecked by any GPU but there is no future for the FX. Another thing just to keep in mind if you encode video a lot Nvidia does GPU encoding better

Jetster reacted to Captain_WD in Please help! Windows can't start.
Hey CrysisLegend, As @Jetster suggested, you could do a system restore to get your computer running again. I would call Gigabyte's support and ask them what's going on and if there are driver issues or compatibility problems. If you post your specs here, we might be able to find a potential problem that might be causing this. Keep us updated, Captain_WD. -

Jetster got a reaction from glutesontheloose in External HDD won't show up in My Computer
Does it have an active partition? And STR don't hijack a thread. Let the OP work the problem. So GTR it worked at some point?
If a drive is in the disk manager but not showing in windows it is not reading the active partition. Go into the disk manager and delete the partition. You will lose all the data doing this. Then create a new active partition.
If you want to recover the data that's another issue

Jetster got a reaction from Titania_WD in CPU Fan problem / Boot problem
The fan thing most likely you have it set to a slow speeds. Change it or set your BIOS to default or Optimal and restart
The boot issues. Did you have a system installed on the WD Blue before you bought the SSD? That's the issue. The boot Oder does not really matter. The BIOS will search all for a Boot record and give you options. You need to format the WD Blue (after saving the data) and then reconnect it.
If it does not boot at all after that. It because you installed Windows with both drive connected. ( You should disconnect all extra drive when installing windows) Windows will put the boot sector on the extra drive. So you may have both boot sectors on your WD blue.
So again boot order does not matter. Windows will search all drives for a MBR
