  1. Hello LTT fam, I'm lucky enough to recently have been able to purchase a new Samsung 55 inch 4K TV. Model number UN55MU8000. I'm having really hard times with my sound bar though (Sony HT-CT370). I'm using ARC to connect the sound bar to the TV, and initially it worked fine. If my TV powers on with no volume, i.e. with the cable box off or on a silent app home screen, the sound bar WILL NOT put sound out. Says it's connected, still no sound. The second time it went out, I hooked my PC up to the TV via HDMI to try Doom out in 4K. As soon as the HDMI-CEC function picked up my PC.....BAM no sound, Changing the audio source, power cycling both devices, muting and un-muting, changing the audio OUTPUT of the sound bar....none of these are a sure fix. It just seems like after enough fumbling through all of the aforementioned steps, eventually I can get it to work. I even factory reset and unplugged all devices. I know it's not the sound bar itself, it worked fine on two TVs before. One was a Hisense and one was an older Samsung from 2012. No issues. The TV has a breakout box where you plug inputs in (HDMI, optical, USB). Could I have gotten a bad one? I don't think so, my personal opinion is that the firmware is flawed in some way. Anytime I try to look online for answers, it seems like eeeeverybody bought last year's KS8000 and no one can answer my question. Including Samsung's piss-poor excuse for chat reps.
