Hey Gregbutcher: Can you please let us know on the type of Audio you use Headphones / External ? ,have you try ed another pair of headphones ? If it is a sound card via pci ,you may need to simply take it out & re-insert it . could be anything . Do you have good pc airflow ? Specs on you're set up pls (this way we can work of that) Hope you get it sorted :)

It may be a bad gpu not sure ,GTX 760 should still be good. If you have another pc or a mates pc to put it into try that out then get back to us. Grounding issue (probable not) Dust inside the PCI slot , moister if it's been a very rainy day not sure best bet is to take it into you're local pc shop get them to look at it. May even be a defective MB as (i think i may be wrong here but) there is a chip on the MB that controls PCI slots that mite of busted or even a Cap ,mite need a new MB is what im thinking.

Stonep11 : that can happen GPU's act very strange thees days . Back on topic: Used toothpaste as a kid for thermal paste .Lucky for me it was winter & it still worked LGA 775 the next week i got a paste . haha & OC GPU's can be quit scary .

This can be a normal thing to happen ,did you see Driver fail error come up ,a simple restart of the PC would of fixed it.

May even be able to change out the MB ,& do you have the drivers installed for MB - Audio ? just a thought .

Hey: twideboer Not 100% sure if this will help you but ill try any way no point in having a little knowledge & not sharing it . How ive got my audio set up . PC - Sound Blaster X-Fi Titanium Fatal1ty Professional Series - Sound Card Optical cable (Red Laser light) to Sony Receiver then ( .1 ) output to Ashton PM-6300 Professional Powered Mixer. 550w RMS . The Towers i use are Boston Acoustics same with the center . Not that any of that last bit was needed but still . Settings : Clock: 48khz Flixijack: Line in (probably not needed to say but what the hell) Headphones: (Nothing selected don't use them) Bit-Matched: (again not selected) SPDIF I/O: (again not selected) DIGITAL I/O: (again not selected) But in the past i selected it to allow me to play stereo mix . Not now since the update. Encoder: DTS Connect (Always) Note: it will send 5.1 directly to my Sony Receiver ,& even if the audio is 2 channel the blue light indicator showing blue will always stay on, Hope this helps if not - all good . :) Also this thread aims @ External Audio ,i started it but im not even sure if it will ever boom up ,as lets face it most users use Headphones these day. http://linustechtips.com/main/topic/102493-external-audio-solutions/ It's great to see people using external audio tho. Wondershare Dr.Phone For Android is an ok program . How ever it will recover msgs but it will only show you what You sent not received . 5/5 from me due to this.

Looks great ,keep up the good work . glad you took out the hotswap cables ,there just so bleeding annoying , long & to many cables . SSD should be fine. PSU same & yeah i took out the SSD bays only left 1 in it. it's all you need But i kept the rest just in case SSD storage prices get better for say 1tb or something ... with the Cable Management you doing it right . nice & neat. Have you thought about any lighting yet or to early in the build ?

Never mind i know what wood is ,in 1 of the pics it looks like wood but it some thing else behind the case it self. Any way , Yes those bays can be tricky .Do ya self a favor the hot swap cables take those 4 screws out & remove those cables ,i did that with mine & i tell ya less cables to contend with is great ,plug the power / sata directly in & bobs ya uncle.

I may add to this with a controller i use - NZXT Sentry LXE . Now this allows me to lower & also turn of fans with a touch screen. Downside is the internal PCB & the 10 wires that are needed to use it. Tho it can be cable managed . you have the same issue i had @ night you can hear these fans spinning up & be a distraction to sleep. Will also add it's a very handy tool to have ... Never getting rid of mine ... Tells you temps rpm read outs time month etc Capable of 5 fans to control tho will add a small thing throw wiring that aloud me to add more / 1 channel to operate 3x per 1 channel i mean. here is that lay out. This may or may not help ,tho i try to help out. :)

sounds like my set up kinda look @ my signature . This board is ok does it's job well. so yeah any Asus will do mine was under $200 Well under infact. i think it was $140-$160 can't remember. Edit: AU $159.95
