  1. I was watching the video on where Linus is explaining how they work and what their servers are used for at 8:50 he starts to talk about real time data replication and backup and he demos the software they are using and I just wondered if anyone knows what the software is as I have been looking for something that does real time sync and keeps a copy of deleted files so they can be recovered.
  2. Hi, I am looking into software that would allow me to sync data from an internal backup server to another backup server located externally, I would need the backup to be able to detect file changes and the sync the changes. I have tried using goodsync and it seems to work but takes best part of 5 hours to compare the data before it will sync. I need to backup around 1.5TB of data to a external system so we have a copy of the data if the main set was destroyed, any suggestions are welcome.
  3. I know this is not recommended but would like to know your thoughts on this. I currently have a 8 plug surge protector and a 4 plug power bar and they are currently plugged into 2 separate power outlets, however I want to move my PC and my power cable is not long enough to reach the surge protector in its current location so I was considering moving it to where my power bar is and running the power bar out of the surge protector. The devices I currently have that use these are; PC (surge protector) 2x Monitors (surge protector) PS4 (Power Bar) Speaker system (Power Bar) Please let me know your thoughts on this.
  4. I use macrium reflect quite often both at work and to create images of my system and have not had this before, I would check and see if there is an icon in the system tray and just check if has not hidden the icon.
  5. I have had so many issues with MS updates killing surface pros I tell anyone who asks about them to not get one.
  6. While I have never built a system in one, I did consider it for a long time as I think the case looks really nice and smart, it is easy to build in from speaking to people who have one, so I am sure if you got this case you would be very happy with it.
  7. I had the same issue with a surface pro 3 and have had the issue with an update before, with the surface we could not even do a clean install and had to send it to Microsoft for them to repair, however with the PC I could get into advanced start-up options and also noticed I had not restore points and it left me with no choice but to take the disk out back up all the data onto another drive (in this case my data server) and do a clean install and then restore the data. on my personal systems I take a backup every month or when I install any major programs and store the image on my NAS so I can use my image to restore from.
  8. Looks good, however the power supply is overkill for that system I would go for a 750w or 850w and save some money.
  9. I have the X61 and have it top mounted in a Evolv ATX and it works great.
  10. I just bought all the parts for my new system and the prices were very competitive but if you are looking for deals the best time to buy is cyber Monday and the sales leading up to Christmas.
  11. I think they are just different revision of the same product, I have used the H100i GTX before and it performs very well so I would go with that.
  12. Looks a good build and should play games really well. I think you will be very happy with this PC.
  13. Nice, I personally love windows 10 and have recommend most people I know to upgrade why you can free of charge, I liked 8.1 but 10 is just so much more user friendly
  14. I was going to try when I build my new system the other week but forgot a just loaded win 10, but wish I did just to see if there was any problems.
  15. I noticed this aswell, my sig was 3 lines but after the update it was 5, I have edited mine, but am note sure if it was a bug or change because of the theme.
