I would say IPS because its useful for most of the tasks you want to do. Maybe for CSGO you might want that extra responsiveness and 144hz that TN might provide but since thats only a small fraction of what you do.

I'm upgrading from hd4000 to a 7950 boost. Do I uninstall the igpu driver before putting the card in? How would I do that? how do I disable the igpu and set the 7950 in the bios? (where is it in a Asus z77)

Found a used MSI Twin Frozr 7950 boost on craigslist for $100 and ever since I've been without a GPU, min settings 60 fps has been killing me. Anyways, seller claims that the GPU was only lightly overclocked and used for mining for only a week (he saw his electric bill). Couple of questions: 1. At that price, is it worth it? I just need something for high settings 1080p 60fps so I assumed that this'll be enough for me. 2. Also, when I go to the seller, what should I ask him to do? Show me GPU Z to verify that its a 7950 boost, run a benchmark or game, and check temps? 3. What should I look for in the physical condition of the card? coil whine? dust? There's no warranty on this btw. Thanks!
