  1. I’ve listened to countless hours of music using my old Sony STR-VX550 but recently I tried turning it on and it just didn’t work. Almost everything on the small display was lit up and a loud buzz came through my speakers. I haven’t changed anything, it just stopped working. I’ve tried unplugging it and plugging it back in, different outlets, leaving it on for hours, leaving it off and unplugged for days but none of that works. Does anyone know what could’ve caused this and if there’s any solution for this.
  2. I’ve been trying to change the frame buffer of my official raspberry pi display since it can’t fit program windows on such a small resolution. I’ve tried changing it in /boot/config.txt but nothing happens even though I’ve saved it any info helps, I’m new to Linux so I’m still trying to get hang of it
  3. I’m brand new with Linux and I’ve been trying to create a resolution to use on my display but I’ve come to a problem that I’m afraid I’m not as experienced enough to know what’s going wrong. I followed instructions on forums and wikiUbuntu and I keep getting this error. Could anyone help me figure out my problem I create the new mode line and plug it into the newmode code and I get this: ive tried using cvt and gtf and I get the same error code, I don’t know if this is the source of the problem.
  4. I’m running raspbian on a raspberry pi 4 and can’t change my display’s resolution. I’ve tried changing it using the xrandr command (it says “display option not found”), tried to change the framebuffer in the /boot/config.txt and although I did save it and rebooted, the display still runs at 600x480, I’ve also tried the screen config manager but the only option comes up FIXEDMODE. Is there any way to override this fixed mode or set the framebuffer past this resolution. I’m running the display with a DSI cable.
  5. So I recently bought a raspberry pi with the official pi touchscreen display and was wondering if there were any pen stylus that worked with any display. It’d be nice to use it on my raspberry pi and phone/windows laptop .I’m looking for a stylus that’s much like Wacom pen or an apple pen with a fine tip to simulate the feel of an actual pen, any suggestions? thanks, cheers.
  6. I recently put together a hifi system but I get this awful speaker hum. It stays at a constant volume. It’s also always present no matter which input I’m on. Anyone know what could cause this type of hum (sound recording attached) 59748960047__6887963C-CD73-4A9F-BF40-FFE2C8F3F8CD.MOV
  7. I’m trying to bring back my old Walkman from the grave and I need to change the belt but yesterday I tried to play a cassette and these (see picture) came out. Does anyone know how to put these back. I’ve tried inserting the pegs back through where they were but they don’t stay in. (The pieces are the parts that go into the cassette and spins the cassette)
  8. Yeah I know It carried it but I having trouble finding one for thunderbolt as well lol, thank you
  9. My Laptop doesn’t have a DisplayPort output put it does have an HDMI output, does anyone know of an adapter that would work for my VR headset. I need an HDMI male to DisplayPort female output adapter.
  10. So recently I bought a gaming laptop from Best Buy in-store. On many of their prebuilt systems and laptops they offer a free copy of Call of Duty BO4 though I was wondering why I didn’t receive a copy. Is this a “only with online purchase” thing or did I just not get my copy? It doesn’t say online (Didn’t know how active Best Buy’s forum was so I thought this place was a good start)
  11. Does anyone know how well (if it does at all) vr works when connected to a usb-c to USB-3 hub? The PC I'm looking into buying only has 1 usb-3 port, 2 usb-2 ports, and 1 usb-c port; will vr work fine with my 3 cameras and headset on those ports or should I buy a hub to connect them to the usb-c port.
  12. I’m pretty new to PC gaming and for over a year my pc had suddenly become extremely slow in games with the games running on the lowest possible setting. Today when running a few benchmarks I noticed that my computer ran better in higher, more-demanding settings. It went from 17 FPS on lowest settings to 100+ with the medium settings. Can anyone explain why this is? Edit: I don’t have a GPU and run off of my intel CPUs integrated graphics
