  1. Last night I had suspected that one of my ram sticks wasn't working. I had a look in the bios and got distracted and ended up overclocking my CPU to 4.2. I then shutdown Took one stick out and tried rebooting and then got a red light on the mobo and no display. Couldn't post. I tried doing a cmos jumper reset. It's very possible I was doing it wrong. But after I tried that a couple times it continued to fail. I'm kind of stuck right now. I googled around and tried a few things I saw but nothing has workered. Any suggestions?
  2. WOW! You are a legend, thank you so much for taking the time to do this for me! Are there any light blue fans you could recommend? I really like the white and light blue idea.
  3. ok sorry, I must have missed that one. But thank you
  4. First off, let me know if i'm posting this on the wrong sub forum and I can create a new one. Anyways... I've built a lot of computers in my life but never really made one that was absolutely gorgeous and I want to achieve this goal. I for sure need help finding all the corresponding bits and ends to make everything about it rig match up and be pretty. I'm planning on getting a 1070 and i high tier i7. But as for fans,LEDs, Power supply, water cooling (never done water cooling before), and maybe custom braided cables, I really don't know where to start. A blue theme is what I have in mind, if anyone can suggest different places to get these things, I would be very grateful. One last note: When building computers I've always had issue with getting the majority of the psu cables to reach, in a cable management standpoint. In Linus' video, ORIGIN PC Un-build Log - Showcase & Teardown, that case has about 2 million cable management holes to go through, that seemed very appealing to me. But maybe if there are some other ones or hell maybe even some simple tips that would help me with that situation im all ears. Thanks in advance! -Matt
  5. It's just with the source engine. It runs noticable smoother at 300+. Also I didn't mention that other games are running poorly. The new nba 2k game I was getting 100-120 fps and yesterday I was barely getting 60...
  6. I feel like u do but it seems like everything is somewhat necessary. I get get a screenshot if you'd like.
  7. Hi Lately I've been getting some performance issues on my rig. Atm I'm running an i7 3770k OC to 4.5hz, a gtx 780, and running win 10 off a ssd for boot and 2 more regular HDD for storage. I mainly play csgo and on the lowest settings there are times where I struggle to get over 200 fps and at time drop down to like 130. If anyone knows the source engine especially with csgo, the difference between 200 and 300 fps is noticable. I used to get much higher fps normally around the 300+ mark. I'm wondering if some of my hardware is malfunction or what is going on. Can anyone suggest any tests that I can run that would suggest if I need to replace something or perhaps it may just be as easy as wiping my drives and reverting back to windows 8.1. Any suggestions will be greatly appreciated!
  8. i found something that i hope fixes it, im going to try and increase my "scene buffering time"
  9. 1 second it is perfect, the next, gone.
  10. didnt work around 8 minutes it stopped working
  11. alright im gunna go ahead and give it a try without the noise gate enabled and see if that changes anything, thanks for your help!
  12. i will give it a try but the thing is it on stops working for obs, when it stops working on obs it still works on other things such as teamspeak and in game chat.
  13. So I have no clue if this is the right place to post this, ive posted on OBS' forum a month ago and never got and replies, im hoping i get try and get some help here. I have the Logitech g930 headset and when im streaming with OBS after like 10-15 minutes my mic just stops being detected on obs, i have to go into the audio settings and refresh the mic for it to start working again, then once again it stops working 10-15 minutes later. I have no clue what to do to fix this, ive tried a couple things ive googled but nothing has fixed it, if anyone here has any suggestions I would be very grateful. Thank you.
  14. ok good to know. thanks. Could u suggest any good virtual 7.1 headsets?
  15. Hey everyone! I'm looking to get a couple things. First of which is a new headset. I prefer headsets with 7.1 surround. I've never actually try true 7.1, so far my favorite headset that I have owned has been the logitech g930s but they are starting to fall apart and im looking for something new, and hopefully better. Also a big thing for me is a good mic, im not picky as to which kind, just needs to sound good since i game a lot with my buds. Any suggestions would be great! Price really isnt an issue. The next thing on my list is a new mouse pad, not something that is too big of a deal but im a tad bit picky, ive always used a soft surface pad. Righ now im using a Razer Goliathus. The only thing i do not like about it is the fact taht since i have a glass desk it tends to slide around quite a lot. Id love to get something that has the same surface material as the Goliathus but maybe the bottom of it is a different material that would prevent it from sliding around. Once again any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks so much in advance for your guy's help.
