  1. Thank you so much! I currently a 850 and 860 pro both 120gb & 128gb in Raid 0 (i attached numbers), but I need more space. Although i have another 128gb 860 pro i could add i think its time to switch to single drive. This helped a lot, I'm getting the 960 pro. PS I check out your link, indeed very cheap and overall seems like a great choice, but funnily enough shipping and importing to Greece will cost more that the product itself. In any case, great to know it boots properly and gets good numbers
  2. This thread is quite old but i'd like to know what happened, i have the exact same rig, MSI Z97 Gaming 5 and 4790K and was considering the 960 Pro. Did you get a PCI-E riser ? were you able to boot off it?
  3. Hello, I'm interested in an HTPC solution. Here is the situation: 1080p TV, planning on 4K upgrade within the year I have a media streaming server running Plex Here are the requirements for this HTPC: Video Playback -including 4K ( I do not want to build another one in a year) In-House Streaming (there will be a utp cable there) with Moonlight Retro Emulation (Snes/Mame... etc) I looked into it and if i give up 4K playback support the Raspberry PI 3 with RetroPie&Moonlight&Kodi is great. Diving a bit deeper i found the ODROID-C2. It claims to support up to 4K 60fps and combining it with Batocera Linux & Kodi it should work great. However, looking at Batocera Linux website it is unknown if Moonlight is supported. Has anyone tried the ODROID-C2? Do you guys have any other suggestions on what i should buy, linux distros, or how i could approach this?
  4. The only options i have through the platform are removing the songs and contest, i'll gladly not make any money from the video, that is not the intent anyway. I'm guessing the pitch thing will be the last resort for youtube. I suggested to my boss the no copyrighted music at the event but he said it would be too much trouble to have all trainers pick from a list.
  5. Legal action? The last thing we need is a lawsuit. I don't think my employer will want to take that chance. As for the distorted audio, its heavily distorted as it is. It was recorded in a stadium with a standard mic on the camera. Any other platform we could use?
  6. not entire songs, they were generally cut to around 2-3 minutes. Also i failed to mention this was a public event
  7. Hello, so i need some help. I work for a kids sports group that organizes yearly exhibitions. Basically every class (gymnastics, rhythmic, karate, etc.) takes the floor and does a 2-3 minute thing with music. Last years exhibitions were recorded and it turned out to be an almost 1 hour+40 minutes video. I tried uploading it to youtube and even though monetization was off i got copyright strikes and it all turned into a big mess, the video is still "up", but has been blocked in 221 countries. Under the copyrights tab there are 3 songs that say that are blocked Loved Me Back to Life (feat. Lil Charles) - Celine Dion Axel F - Crazy Frog Dale Papi - Lariss and one that says something about creating income for the owner of the copyright (rough translation from greek) Santa María (Del Buen Ayre) - Gotan Project All we are trying to do is upload the video so the parents and kids can watch it on youtube
  8. Well Comic_Sans_MS already explained that a couple of 771 cpu, i was just mentioning that video because its what led me to taking a look at 771 cpus. Indeed a q6600 will not run in dual cpu, but it is beside the point.
  9. Haven't missed a wan show in a long time, pretty sure it wasn't there. As for the the risk of the video.... he has definitely done riskier videos always with the tag of "do not try this at home".
  10. Hello, just came across this little weird little mod " Intel CPU LGA 771 to 775 socket Adapter MOD". Considering the video you made for the cheap gaming rig with dual q6600 (if i remember correctly) this might be worth taking a loot at, as an easy follow up. Messing with the bottom of a cpu will make most people cringe. Here is a link to a search for it on ebay http://goo.gl/UD7IGd i've also attached images.
  11. Turns out i have another question. I originally opted for the 2400 memory in hopes of better performance for photoshop and the ramdisk. Since this is mostly a productivity build (and most, if not all benchmarks are related to gaming) and now that the ramdisk is out the window, does anyone have any good resources on how memory speed affects the CC suite? 2400 vs 1866 ? *Price and availability have turned out to be a problem in Greece. (for the memory and cpu cooler) Edit: After further investigation it seems that lightroom does not use any kind of GPU acceleration, so turns out the 970 is probably out the window for now. going to wait for something like the 960, in hopes for a better value
  12. I feel like I am too late to the party but I'd love an invite as well
  13. Well sir! you have saved the day! I already bought a new case and transferred my components, so now its just waiting on gathering enough money for the upgrade. After moving from the ancient NZXT Zero to the Fractal design define R4(Black pearl) please allow me to point out the obvious. Building a pc in modern cases is just a breeze! I've used corsair carbide and obsidian cases in the recent past but my personal rig where i've spent most my time was the NZXT Zero even thought it was a great case for its time, there is just no way for it to compete with modern cases. Edit: some modifications might have been made to my case over the years. I find it amazing how much we have moved from modding our cases for functionality (cpu cutout, cable holes etc) to modding them for looks
