  1. Well it depends on what your budget it, but yeah, that's pretty overkill for a browsing machine.

Budget will be around $500 without monitor. I guess it's fine then.

Why not a sempron x2 190. It's incredibly cheap and perfect for the use case scenario.

I'm taking in consideration that probably her kids will want to play Sims or any other game and the APU will do the work just fine for that.

    Thanks for your suggestion.

  2. A friend told me that her mom wanted to buy a computer and I told her that I could build her one and she said that it was ok. I'm thinking of getting an APU build but I don't know which one I should use. She will just use the PC for work and browsing. I was thinking of getting the A8-5500 ($103). What are your thoughts? Is it alright? Or  should I get a cheaper one?

For the motherboard I'm going with the Asus F2A55-M/CSM since it's only $78 USD and it has USB 3.0.

    I will appreciate suggestions.

  3. How are you gonna fit the H100i in those cases? Nevermind you can fit one in a Bitfenix Prodigy.

If they can still use their old computer for work they probably don't need those expensive parts. But I think you'll be fine with a 7870 or 660. You won't need a 750w PSU for an itx build I'm sure you will be fine with the 550w PSU (Check for some good PSU's).

  4. My supervisor at work calling the PC "CPU".

I had a teacher last year and she was talking about computers, I told her that I build one and then she told me that she always buys new computers on ebay, and she tells her husband to upgrade the RAM, I asked her "why?" and she said "to make the computer faster, and when I can't add more RAM I just sell it and buy a better one." What a waste of money, I didn't explained her that RAM doesn't make a PC faster by adding more, because I'm sure she was going to ignore me anyway. She just uses the PC for browsing and using Microsoft Office.

  5. You can get the AMD FX 8350 for $70 more, if you're going to be editing I recommend using 16 GB minimum. Do some more research in cases and find one with more ventilation. You can get a 120 GB SSD for the OS, not that expensive and 1TB HDD.

  6. I wish it was out already! I'm building a new rig next week and it would have been great if it was already available...

I guess I'll stick to my plan of using an H80i, and then replace that with and H220 at some point after it releases (and maybe the price goes down on sites like Amazon, too :) )...

Use the stock cooler and wait for the H220 that's what I'm going to do.
