  1. IS THIS TRUE?! Omg I really hope Intel does more than just a Price Cut! https://www.edgeneo.com/blog/amd-ryz...ance-benchmarkAMD’s Ryzen 7 1700X has been compared against the Core i7 7700K and Core i7 6950X processors in single and multithreaded performance benchmarks. The performance results were validated on the CPU-Z database and reveal that AMD’s upcoming 8 core is one fast chip for enthusiasts.Single-Threaded Scores Multi-Threaded Scores
  2. Saw this awesome Case on Indiegogo and wanted your opinions on this case! It is an Aluminium Mini-ITX Case that looks an awful lot like the Mac Pro, in both size and thermal dynamics! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/dune-case-the-mac-pro-mitx-pc-case-for-enthusiast/x/14311817#/
  3. The iPhone 5 and iPhone 5S screen is not the same. You would have a nightmare fixing the screen thinking they are the same. Becareful of cheapo lcd screens you find on Ebay though, most of them are either refurbished, or just low quality. All of Apple's components are made in China and if you look around hard enough, you will be able to find one or two vendors that sell Apple Quality components (you will need to have experiencing buying in this field to know though haha). INFOPC seems to be doing some great stuff in this field. They just started an Indiegogo campaign and is offering high quality LCD displays that have a 1 year warranty. Check them out! https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/infopc-quality-repair-service-for-the-masses/x/4958182#/story

  5. Ever since Pebble came out, i didnt even consider it due to its "ugly" design but now that the Pebble Steel is released, i am having doubts of the product as a whole.. the features and the specs. So I Just wanna know what are the general features people think a Smartwatch should have As for me, Here it is: - Curved/Flexible Low powered Display I really believe Colored Eink is the way to go. It offers an always on display which every watch should have and super low battery consumption. Qualcomm's Mirasol Display sounds Promisable so i really hope more OEMs adopt that technology and work on it. There are many other promising technologies out there such as Eink Triton. Flexible OLEDs are actually a perfect option only if they offer low battery life. Current FOLEDs have high battery consumption and IMO unless there is a revolutionary battery tech breakthrough, these will not be suitable for smart watches. - A Sexy Metal Chassis The Pebble Steel's chassis is beautiful in all the right ways but i dont think it is perfect as the watch itself looks like a block.. like a square block. [Most likely due to the battery. I like what Qualcomm did with theirs. They placed the battery on the strap. This way, the watch face will be less clunk, allowing for a more comfortable, even and well balanced feel. If only they made it with more premium materials like aluminium and steel. - SmartPhone Notifications Frankly speaking, all i expect from a Smartwatch is just to receive notifications and glance through it. Pebble did an excellent job with it and i love how Qualcomm toq allows you to reply the message using predesignated text. Samsung overdid it, we all knew that. I have no experience on Sony's SW2 so i will not comment on that but it really seems like a good device. - Battery Life I believe a smartwatch should at least have a 5 Day battery Life. One Week would be perfect but realistically speaking 5 days is the way to go and to achieve this the display technology is key. Samsung's one day battery life just wont do it. -Pricing The price of smartwatches should be around $150 to $220. Seriously when you consider "highend" smartphones such as the Nexus 5 costing around $350, you start wondering why should you buy a secondary device for around the same price. IMO, the pebble is overpriced. For what it does, which is mainly notifications, and with that Decade old epaper display on it, why does it cost $150 and if not $250. it is just ridiculous. Well i guess you pay for the R&D? - Wireless Charging Wireless charging, even though it is not long range, it gives convenience for the user. Just take it off and place it on some dock is so convenient. - Input Touch input. In the 21st century, pressing buttons to use your device.. well just turns me off. lol.. Touch allows for easy navigation and does not require any hardware that will bulk up the device. Currently, the only Smartwatch close to this is the Qualcomm TOQ. Seriously, it really is the best for me now. The only thing that stops me from buying is that ridiculous price tag. If it cost me well $200, you will not see me writing this topic. So what are the dream features/characteristics of a Smart Watch?
  6. This has occurred to me ever since the start of the smart phone era but have u guys ever noticed that there is much more attention being focused towards mobile computing and less towards desktop computing. Intel's new haswell chips are shown to reduce power consumption by a significant amount while increasing performance by 10% like usual Generation performance increases. It is known that this focus towards power efficiency is for ultrabooks and other mobile devices that require lower power consumption to increase battery life. Such a situation was never an important aspect of a PC and i believe if Intel didnt focus on power consumption, they could have given us a Haswell ship with significant performance increases. Another example would be mobile screens vs desktop monitors. Screens on mobile devices are so advanced that it is the norm for there to be 1080p displays on most new smartphones while in the monitor side, even though the screen is about 4 to 5 times as large, it is still the norm to use 1080p screens. I dont understand this.. i just dont. The desktop monitor technology has remained stagnant for the past 3 years or so which is really disappointing. Sure there is this new 4K thing coming about but i dont really care for that though. What i want is a 2560 by 1600 24 inch IPS display damn it! .. i really do! Well other than my egoistic needs and wants, i really am seeing a huge focus in mobile computing and i feel that tech companies like intel, display companies and Microsoft are neglecting us PC users which really disappoints me. What do you guys think?
  7. Nah mid end is also okay as long as it is running Android 4.2 and above... From my experience with both platforms.. really once you use android you wont go back to WP.. The increase customization and more apps are a big deal..
  8. As a fellow WP 8 user like u... i would like to ask.. Have you tried Android be4?
  9. I just purchased several significant items which include a Nexus 5, a secondary monitor and a laptop soo all in all. i actually spent quite alot this year. However, with the latest release of the ipad mini with retina.. my inner geek is screaming for me to get it. The form factor is awesome, it has the same x64 bit based processor the ipad Air has and best of all, the screen is "retina" beautiful. The only problem now is price.. like what i mentioned earlier, i have already spent quite alot on a laptop, phone and monitor.. All thats left is a tablet. The ipad mini is expensive.. and if i were to buy it, i will purchase the 32gb LTE model which retails $629.. Damn that is ex. So i would like to know what are the key benefits a tablet brings to your everyday life.. and for someone like me who already have a laptop, phone and desktop, will a tablet make a "big" improvement in the way i do things.. in terms of convenience, functionality and well just plain coolness Thanks alot My inner Geek is really screaming here.. and if there is a logical rationale for me to buy a tablet.. then i will go for it!!
  10. Thats just saddd.. the software should be like "open" then any application from the Windows Store.. If thats the case then i can see how voice recognition can be useful for everyone..
  11. Dude if that is true.. its ridiculous... seriously.. never heard such rubbish in my life.. i dont think its true man lol
  12. LOLOL. Same here man! but wel i assume you also say "open Google Chrome" ? or something..
  13. Yes! the Xbox Live Gold and making it compulsory for XBox users to play online is really ridiculous.. but i know many of my friends are ignorant to all these.. they are going to buy XBox while disregarding the PS4 because of the "better gaming experience" the XBox 360 offered compare to the PS3.. Which i admit is true.. but it really isnt a better gaming experience now with the Xbox One and about the market targeting thing.. I really dont know what microsoft was thinking with this.. the Xbox was at the beginning suppose to be a GAMING console offering the best console gaming experience so why i thy integrated so much into it while disregarding the gaming segment.. seriously.. Xbox consumers are gamers.. and i dont think this will change much with the Xbox One.. u dont see your friends or parents saying they want a Xbox One because of the "Living Room" Functionality.. its cool but its not a necessity.. Actually,. i agree that microsoft should have made a different product for the Xbox One.. Its not really about R&D costs and what not.. Microsoft has the money and resources to pull this through.. and if they did, they maybe would have made a better gaming console than Sony and also appeal to their consumers more... However, they are following their "One Microsoft" Strategy to be devices and services company so such a step is not all that surprising and with the prediction that console gaming will die, it is only logical to try to shift their product into other target segments..
  14. All that Amo wasted on just a single Xbox 360 lol....
