  1. No it is. Again there's no such performance measuring unit as core, hence it can't be misleading marketing material. Otherwise you could sue AMD because their 2700X isn't as fast as i9-9900k both being 8-core. GTX 970 was completely different since it claimed to have full amount of memory at the rated speed when it didn't. It's not unclear how fast 256-bit 224GB/s GDDR5 is. CPU architectures change constantly, hence 1 core isn't X speed and 8 cores 8*X speed. At best you could draw a comparison to the same line of CPU's and all the FX CPUs work the same way.
  2. That has to be one of the silliest things I've read in a while. There's no such performance measuring unit as "core". You don't buy "8 cores of performance" and instead buy whatever the CPU can output in tests. Otherwise we'd have to lock "1 core" into some sort of performance value instead of physical/logical structure.
  3. And literally just few seconds after it Do you people even watch LTT? They throw shade all the time in the videos. Do you people even remember Riley's introduction? They literally pick him up from the trashbin. I'd have thought you people were regular nerds who aren't very hot for the current SJW movement with the taking offense olympics but here you are in shiny armor made from diarrhea ready to protec and go berserc over nothing. Probably should just stay off the internet if that was too much.
  4. Yes and no. What people think about something is relevant since deceiving consumers is illegal because of consumer protection. If Google has no intention to show the absolute best results it can get, then maybe it's not clear enough and doesn't convey that message properly. I don't know how exactly the Google shopping links were shown so I can't say if they were clear enough with it.
  5. Now this is something I wouldn't say is clear at all. Infact if a survey was conducted I'm sure people would think that Google search is not biased and should stay as so. If it's ok to show biased results then wouldn't it also be ok for Google to just, well stop showing links to their competitors? I mean just to add to that grocery store analogy. Just like the store has the right to choose what products to put on its isle endcaps, they can also choose what products to sell in their stores at all, right?
  6. The business world needs regulations for the same reasons societies need laws. Without them everyone who are weak gets exploited and anyone strong who pose a threat will be killed off. You can not depend on human kindness and good morals.
  7. Wait, what exactly makes 909 such a pile of shit? All the reviews I have read about it have been almost completely positive. Haven't read any build logs using that case though so is there some huge flaws in it? The biggest flaw I can see is the fact that it only has true air intake/output at bottom and rear so it limits the size of rads you can put in but then again 360 and 280 should be enough even for a big loop with cpu and gpu(s) as long as you don't use crap rads and fans. I have been thinking about getting the 909 in silver. I don't currently need that big of a case but I will build a custom hardtube loop with cpu and gpu in it sometime in the future and 909 would be great with that in mind. It's certainly a case you'll use a long time instead of throwing it out after few years. However I'll be upgrading my motherboard/ram/cpu soon and would like a new case for it. I'll most likely go with Kraken X62 or something until I can put in 500e+ to custom loop. For that Kraken Rajintek Asterion Classic would do well enough and be much, much more cheaper than 909. I'm just afraid it wouldn't be big enough for the custom loop in the future. Then again it's so much cheaper that I could just sell it and then buy whatever is coolest when the time comes to make the custom loop.
  8. Honestly I don't think they are going to integrate CPUs and GPUs in foreseeable future other than maybe in low end motherboards. Something I can see happening is RAM being integrated. We only need to go slightly over 10 years back to having 128, 256 and 512MB of RAM be normal. We got a sudden growth and now we have plateaued. I built my computer 6 years ago and put in 6 gigs. Even though I have upgraded it to 12 the original 6 would still be mostly enough for everything even now. Most system builders still put in 8 even today. So we don't really need continuously more and more RAM anymore. There's also all these new speeds and dual/quad/etc channels and they all mean very little. We could pretty much take how much RAM you need, double it and always have enough of it for the lifetime of that system. Right now motherboard makers could put 8 gigs in low-end, 16 in mid-end and 32 gigs in high-end motherboards and it would please like 99% of the buyers. The mb makers have like a million models anyway so they could satisfy all kinds of needs you might have speed/amount wise. For professional use they could still make separate ECC RAM. I guess they could also start integrating flash memory to create super fast OS drive but obviously you could still connect your storage devices.
