Saves a bit on the case for some better components, like motherboard and GPU. Note: there have been some reports of ASrock getting able to achieve a BCLK overclock on non-K CPUs with their Z170 chipset motherboards, so the better motherboard may turn out to enable significant performance gains on this non-K CPU if/when a bios update becomes available.

Yeah! Go for it. Except, Get a Single 8GB stick first. Because that mobo has two slots. If you ever going to upgrade RAM in future, you have to sell that 2x4GB module. That's tough. So 1x8 first and in future, it'll be easy for upgrade!

don't forget to get rid of windows.old folder after upgrading as it takes like 20GB space

The default is an upgrade, you have the option to do a full reinstall if you like but it's exceptionally difficult to do it by accident. The update does not format the data; All applications and settings transfer over.
