  1. Yup, I know that you almost newer get advertised speeds. In dual channel in theory you get more speed. Well, that half duplex thing was new to me, so it kinda explains only 100Mbps ports. In 2020 I would not get that device, there are similarly priced options with better wireless and wired speeds available from asus and other manufacturers.
  2. So whats the point of having only 100Mbps ethernet ports on a wifi router that is capable of 750Mbps wireless speeds? For example this Asus router https://www.asus.com/Networking/RTAC51U/specifications/ . In my mind the most speed you can get out of that thing is 100Mbps, because the signal must come from cable. Or is this model meant to be part of a mesh network and just repeat signal it got from the air? I'm not buying this, just wondering why it has such ports. I am in the market for a new wifi router though. It is going to replace modem integrated wifi router in my parents house, so almost anything would be better. I have looked at other Asus routers because I have RT-AC52U at home. So I'm thinking between RT-AC52U and RT-AC66U. 66U is double the cost, but would probably be more suited for multiple users in large house with multiple floors. They have wifi range extender at the other side of the house.
  3. Got it to work again by reseating GPU. I'm about to get a new PSU and cables because just bought an used R9 280x. I have decided on seasonic focus GX-650. I know that good 550W PSU could power that gpu, but PSU is a long time investment and I want something more future-proof
  4. I have some problems starting my computer. When I press power button, I can hear HDD starting to spin. No fans or their LEDs turn on. Not even CPU fan. Gpu fan is on. No video comes out from the GPU, which means I can't go to bios and check things. The computer was working fine yesterday. Specs of my machine are as follows: 6700K Asus Z170-A 16Gb kingston ram amd radeon HD7770 Corsair CX430 psu from year 2013 My thoughts go first to blame the PSU, but also mtherboard could be at fault here. What do you think?
  5. I'll be doing heavy photo editing and virtual machines. Sometimes there are games running in the background. I currently have 32gb and I'm running out from time to time.
  6. Hey. What is a good set of ram for my 3900x? I need 64 gb of it and I have been thinking about 3200 MHz cl16 kit from Corsair. My motherboard is msi x570 pro carbon wifi. It probably should be 4x16gb since 32gb sticks are hard to find and/or are expensive. The ram can have RGB and if it's white or silver that would be great. Sorry not going if to link anything here because I'm using my phone to write this.
  7. Not my project, but this came to my mind right when I saw the video. It is test bench made from single old PC case. Project is in finnish, but pictures and google translate should help to understand. http://murobbs.muropaketti.com/threads/tornikotelon-ghettomodaus-testipenkiksi.1250832/
