Snipergod87 got a reaction from _Hustler_One_ in Windows 10 Pro 64bit 1803 HELP!
Nothing really you can do, if it is already downloaded and waiting for reboot to install it cannot be stopped AFAIK.
Many of the issues have been resolved as well.
You can in the settings app under update and security delay all updates for up to 30 days, but once that expires it will immediately install all missing updates.

Snipergod87 reacted to Electronics Wizardy in What are these partitions?
thats not how a sshd works, the cache is hidden from the user, and its used like a normal drive.
Is this from a laptop or prebuilt system? Its probably the recovery software from the manafacture.

try drivers but looks like a RAM issue, either unstable or part of it is dead on the GPU.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Electronics Wizardy in What CPU should I move to game Asus a55bm-e
You should look into buying a refurbed business PC or something will have much more CPU power and have the ability for a good GPU.
Something decent will be around 100-150 usd

Snipergod87 reacted to Jurrunio in How popular is EATX?
I refuse to take the poll because there's no ATX
but honestly I'd happily go mATX if board makers actually bothered to give them strong VRMs on ATX boards at a similar price. Now, all we have are either mid range boards like the EVGA Z370 Micro, or the uber expensive Maximus 11 Gene. Seriously if Gigabyte and Asrock chopped part of their Aorus Elite/Pro and Extreme4/Phantom 6 off to make them mATX, I would recommend them. Rarely do people use all the extra ports you can find on ATX boards but not mATX boards, and there are solutions to solve this problem anyway (splitters, stacked headers etc)

Block access to the task manager, stop the users from running .exe's from non approved locations (GPO will by default only allow C:\Windows, C:\Program Files, and C:\Program Files (x86) if you enable those settings), so if they download process explorer it cannot be launched. as they should not have write access to any of those directories.
These settings are configurable group policy settings.
You should probably prevent booting from USB flash drives completely as well and secure the BIOS with a password.

99% sure they have an UEFI system like desktop PC's, Apple chooses not to expose it to the end users thats all.

They often use their own proprietary connectors, you might be able to find an adaptor online though.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from BrokeAFKid in How powerful of a GPU can I use with my i7 4770k without it being a major bottleneck and play games at 1440p well?
I'm rocking a 1070 with a non OCed 4770k (mine doesnt clock up well) @ 1440p and a 144hz display. For what I play i could have easily stepped up the GPU for more performance, in the games I play i end up being GPU bound not CPU bound.
I have a friend with a 3770k and a 1070 Ti playing @ 1080p 144hz.
AMD's equivalent to the 1070 is the Vega 56.

Download the media creation tool, and tell it up upgrade this computer, nothing will be wiped.
That being said always good to have backups in case something goes terribly wrong, like the first 1809 update.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Heolus in Failed HDD Recovery
Sounds like the drive is completely toast.
There are some more advanced tools like Active@Undelete but that costs money as it is more of a business/enterprise product. They may have a trial though. Since it doesnt look like the partition is there some of the more basic free programs will not work
If the games are through steam the steam cloud holds the save files.
