well the 9600k is faster but either would be fine with a 2060

Snipergod87 reacted to Enderman in Microsoft will change the default way that they handle USB data devices
You do realize that caching the file transfer does literally nothing to speed up the time it takes to get the file onto the drive, right...................

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Wufflez in Bought an used gtx970 for 150$cad, tell me what you think of those pictures.
Could be corrosion ro rust that was caused by left over chemicals on the back side of the GPU from manufacturing.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from 8uhbbhu8 in why is the AMD Athlon X4 845 so cheap?
Its old, not very good, basically a dual core.
    No upgrade path.
The x4 950 is not really any better but at least is supports AM4 a modern socket.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from JabroniBaloney in Should I get GTA V in 2019
If you want to play the game then buy it, it's a pretty simple decision.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Adorable Cat in Will adding a switch increase router performance?
    Simple answer: No
Complex Answer: Yes but only in some very unique scenarios, for example if Device A and Device B are on the switch they won't have to go to the router to talk to each other only as far as the switch, but any modern router has more than enough throughput to handle that.

I have 2x MG279Q's and 1 PG279Q.  I can tell the colors are better on my PG model compared to my MG models, even after calibration.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Redrooster in GPU Memory
2060 should be find for awhile at 1080p
That being said 4GB from my experience was the minimum for 1920x1200 back when the 770 4GB's came out, some games ran horribly on the 2GB variant of the cards.

Is most cases (but not all see above comment) your GPU's processing power will be the issue before VRAM.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Taf the Ghost in Retesting a Seasonic X-750 750W PSU 10 Years Later
Interesting read, I have an X-850 myself, which I know from testing was able to deliver 1kw of DC power and being in spec.  I have no need to replace it at 6-7 years old.
    Going to miss HardOCP

Snipergod87 got a reaction from SenKa in iPhone 6S Won't Charge
Depending on the state of charge you left the battery in it could very likely be a toast battery and need a new one.

Try just leaving it plugged in for an hour.

Are you using the official charger?
Have you tried a different charger and cable?

Is there some background task eating the battery (maybe a reboot will fix it)

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Nathan The Neko in Need settings for FPS in csgo
CS:GO is cpu bound, best settings would be everything on low at the lowest resoltuion,  Otherwise upgrade CPU.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Tristerin in Did I goof by purchasing a SED SSD?
They are rather common, many ssd's are SED's now a days, the support issues may have been in regards to whether or not the SSD would work as a SED on old systems (imagine an old Pentium 4 for example)

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Turtle Rig in Fast enough usb-hub for gaming peripherals
Any USB 2.0 hub or later would be fine.  I would recommend a powered one (one with an external power brick).  Will greatly reduce changes of hub being underpowered and devices having their power cut.
Your keyboard and mouse are probably limited to 2.0 or 1.1 data rates anyways.

Snipergod87 got a reaction from Alexandru Costache in For a video card, can I insert a 6-pin plug into the 8-pin slot?
Most GPU's will not accept 6 pins if it is expecting 8 pins,  There were a few GPU's that could do this (were designed to do so)but this was over a decade ago.

You can do this, what will happen is computer will turn on and you will get a message telling you to plug in GPU PCI-Express power.
