I've decided I'm gonna try and make a Quadro K2000M work in this iMac.
Gonna pair it with an i7-870, also gonna add my spare 240GB SSD and bump the RAM up to 14GB(16 if I can, 32 eventually).
Total upgrade cost comes in at just under $100 so far.

Wondering if the iMac can handle a K5100M

It's a 100W card, I'd be skeptical.
Also I have no idea what prices are like on those, and the K2000M and K2100M are confirmed to be working in the 2010-11 iMacs. Perhaps down the road when I have more funds, I can push it further.
