Upgrading very old PC for LAN Parties

This. Another good idea would be getting an SSD, some more RAM, and maybe an i7-2600.

Where to start in Information Technology career?

I meant programmers in general, but that is a good point.

I'm logged in anonymously, so I don't appear as online.

I don't show up as viewing anything, as having viewed anything. Basically you only know if I'm online when I reply or react to something :)

    More Badges/Industry affialiate thing

Similar questions were asked in the past, I forget exactly why they were turned down, though.

I would recommend you go for the DevOp position. There's no shortage of programmers and developers, but companies sometimes struggle to find DevOps. They basically maintain the infrastructure used by aforementioned devs and programmers, I'm told they're worth their weight in gold to a lot of companies. For that, you'd probably want some of the Cisco networking certs, maybe one or two VMWare certs, be able to script in Python and PowerShell, and maybe some networking certs. Wouldn't be a terrible idea to get your CompTIA A+ either. If you're just getting started, there's nothing wrong with just going for like a helpdesk position and working your way up the power chain.

I mean its a fair question.

    Every 1650 review...

For the cost, an RX 570 is a much better deal than the 1650.
  9. Can you elaborate as to what exactly this means? Your laptop will only use one of the two GPUs installed, either the Nvidia dedicated or Intel integrated.

anybody knew when 1650ti will be released

We don't even know if there will be a 1650Ti, let alone a release date.

    Best CPU for AM3+ socket?

My overall point was eventually that you should get a newer better platform, but I was just wondering if a CPU upgrade would be at least a temporary fix for you. Keep in mind if you upgrade to anything Ryzen or newer than Skylake, you will need DDR4 memory as well.

I need some Zotac SLI dust covers bad...

What do you need the dust covers for? My GTX 780, HD 4850, FX 3450, and GTS 250 don't have covers on their mGPU connectors and are doing just fine.

    Best CPU for AM3+ socket?

What are your specifications? I could tell you had a CPU bottleneck based on the fact that your post title had "AM3+" in it.
