So far my Mac hunt is not going well. People charge way too much for the Apple logo, I'm tellin' ya...
Found a 2012 Mac Pro(which is actually the kind that I'd want if I was going the Mac Pro route) for $1100.
Running dual hexacore Xeons, a Radeon HD 7950 3Gb, 24Gb DDR3 memory(expandable to 128Gb).
Essentially, the hardware here isn't really worth more than ~$600. Not sure if the seller knows that, but either way I wouldn't pay more than maybe $700 for a 6 year old computer, even if it does have Apple branding.

You also have the people who charge a fortune for Apple hardware that's straight up broken. I've seen someone try to sell one of those plastic Unibody MacBooks for 250 bucks. Nicotine stained, missing keys and corners, seriously?
