I mean really, this gets a lot harder the closer you are to having finished rebending all the pins

I once fixed the pins on my mobo using the straw the comes with the compressed air dusters. it was too big to put directly over the pins but it was skinny enough to gently push the tips back into place

Haha thanks. Thankfully I think it was just a few of the pins. I did get dizzy though, it is hard to focus on something that small when it is surrounded by things that look identical as I'm sure you found

    How are you doing it?

@WhisperingKnickers I'm using the tip of the knife to pry the pins up and then straighten them out. If they need to be straightened and aligned more, I'll pull out the tweezers. I'd estimate about 5% of the pins on this socket are bent, but it looks a heck of a lot better now than it did when I got this board.

    LGA 1150 socket btw

5% is a lot of pins even still! I think when I fixed mine it was just about 5 pins total I'm glad it hadn't been more because that was the LGA1366 socket though it is a pretty big socket so that helps

It's probably a little under 5%, that's just what I estimated it to be. I don't have it in me to count bent pins and subtract them from 1150 to give an exact number, even if I am off by a couple percents saying 5%.
