      Fair point.

Although I was in Garden of Salvation for 12 hours on day 1 of that raid.

@Crunchy Dragon There have been many a day I've spent 14+ hours playing Stardew Valley 😂

Eh, you dont need it. Wont scale well and will give you more technical headaches then it's worth.

      Indeed.

I've decided not to, but it was kinda fun finding an identical card at more or less the same price as the one I bought.

But do you need the experience?

  3. 👀

Still don't think the PvP sandbox is ready for Trials. Too many borderline overpowered weapons exist.

      gimme my trials back

I'm all for Trials coming back(despite never playing it), but I'm far less on-board with that idea when there isn't a good enough PvP sandbox to support it.

Last Word still kills in 4 bodyshots, which I think needs some tweaking. It's even banned from official tournaments because of it.

Lord of Wolves is back in the meta, and is really making a case for backup plan fusion rifles such as Erentil and Wizened Rebuke to stay in the meta.

Primary weapons in general(with the exception of TLW) could use some minor buffs to bodyshot damage to make them more relevant, special weapons are much stronger than most primaries currently.

Luna's Howl and Not Forgotten should be reassessed in my opinion as well. The nerf was moderate, but I think that in a game where Last Word kills in 4 bodyshots, LH and NF should be 180rpm again. In that scenario, Magnificent Howl can function as it does now. If LH/NF stay as 150rpm, then I think Magnificent Howl should increase precision damage again.

I could go on, but you probably get my point. Trials potentially returning is fine by me, as long as the PvP sandbox works.

  4. If I had to guess, then I'd say this is it:

This is most likely the video that started it all for me, all those years ago.

      TVwazhere

For me (specifically LTT videos) it was one of the H90 install videos Linus did back when I was building my first system. That's the first one I can distinctly remember

(Cant find the exact one but this one is right around the time of that video)

If we're talking about just PC building in general, to no ones surprise I was interested in cases first, so Paul and Joanne were my ASMR  for a solid year. (2013-2014)

when you said "God" i was expecting a some kind of streaming/esports legend, not Literally a player named 'God' lol.

The RNG and team balancing happened to work in my favor for the meme.

Player named God is on the enemy team, I happen to have a mostly 1v1 engagement with God and won

I'll have a build blog soon too. I'll be getting some money and can buy many of the computers I need for my personal rig at once.

  10. Well, my CPU is estimated to be here on the 13th.

That puts a significant delay in my plans...

  12. Hot take: The Simpsons doesn't actually predict the future.

The writers are actually bought out by the government to write various events, then the government takes care of rigging various events so history transpires as written and portrayed on the Simpsons.

  13. I've decided I'm gonna try and make a Quadro K2000M work in this iMac.

Gonna pair it with an i7-870, also gonna add my spare 240GB SSD and bump the RAM up to 14GB(16 if I can, 32 eventually).

Total upgrade cost comes in at just under $100 so far.

      It's a 100W card, I'd be skeptical.

Also I have no idea what prices are like on those, and the K2000M and K2100M are confirmed to be working in the 2010-11 iMacs. Perhaps down the road when I have more funds, I can push it further.

  14. Context for the last status update: this is a nearly 10 year old Apple computer.

    Spoiler

it has never once been cleaned of dust

  15. Hello from OSX 10.12 Sierra. This keyboard is gonna take some getting used to.

  16. This iMac is starting to scare me

  18. Just realized that my "new" iMac will accept DDR3 SO-DIMMs, so I can pop in a whole 8GB from my old laptop once I get back from the holidays.

I haven't yet made my mind up yet about future upgrades, but it's running OSX 10.12 Sierra with no issues. I may snag an i7-870 off Ebay down the road to replace the current i3-550. Still not sure about how much I want to crack this thing open, as that'll mean having to do mostly a complete teardown before I can reach the socket(yes, it's an actual LGA 1156 socket in there :D)

Haven't ruled out an SSD yet, but luckily it's a 7200RPM hard drive so it's bearable. I really miss my 5-8 second bootups, but it's more bearable than a 5400RPM.

Yeah, I think it'll support up to an HD 5750. Still not likely I'll go past OSX 10.13 ultimately, Mojave and Catalina really killed off support for the Radeon HD 5xxx and 6xxx cards.

Once you get past the hassle of tearing the system open, it's surprising how much is swappable.

Possibly. Power draw is my main concern. this iMac might not be able to handle a 100+W card, even if it is MXM.
