As of today, I can proudly say that FanControl in itself is windows-junk free. Adding this feature would require a registry key, breaking my poor developer heart. This is why I prefered as of today to provide a script to do it externaly. Might have to give in to the devil at some point....

You can buy it now, and if the new Ryzen proves to be a much better option, then you sell what cpu you have and get a new 4000 series one (get atleast 4xx motherboard now, so it will be forward compatible).
GPU, i would wait 1-2 months, Nvidia will release new stuff soon.

Okay, so XMP is a profile embedded into the memory sticks, usually for intel platforms, but i have seen them work in AMD platforms (mine included). This profile basically has all the settings for the memory (timings and voltage etc) A short YT video will help you understand it. Command rate is still memory timing related, but in my case for example, it is 2T in the XMP profile, but when i applied XMP on AMD platform, it went to 1T, which caused instability, so i had to go in and change it manually to 2T. It's just a setting in bios, nothing complicated.

It means it was not tested yet, but most memory kits work. It just depends if it will run at rated speeds, or you will have to either downclock the memory, or loosen up the timings. Just plug it in, and if it boots, it will be at 2133mhz, default for DDR4, then you turn on the XMP profile, be careful to set the CR (command rate) the same as the kit says and you should be good.

If you have 2 RAM sticks, just put them like usual, first in the furthest slot from the CPU, second in the third. Your motherboard manual should have detailed explanation, but this is the general rule. Matisse is the "family" or code-name of the CPU, just like IvyBridge for intel, Coffe Lake etc. Your 3900x will be Matisse.

(ran out of atributes) guide on how to properly set up Speedfan, with the option to turn your fans completely off,
just like Linus' M-Cubed T- Balancer.

Here is the written version, a little bit longer than the one in the video:
 
   1.  First off, you wanna download the installer, from almico.com/speedfan.php. After that is ready, open it, it installs very easy, next next next style, and then open it.
 
   2.  This guide will include how to set the fans up to a temp curve, and also how to completely turn them off. This was the feature i was looking for, because maximum silence.
 
   3.  In order to do this, you wanna set the control to manual, then turn all the fans down except one. This way you will be able to identify them, and rename accordingly in the *fans* tab.

 
   4. Then you should head on to the advanced tab, and check that the motherboard fan controlling hardware is selected properly. Also, manual mode must be selected for the pwm controlling options.

 
   5. After this, you will need to set the minimum value at which the fans should spin, and the max one in the *speeds* tab.
 
   6. Next up, you gotta open the *Fan Control* tab and set up a curve for each and every fan. Be carefull to select the mobo controlling hardware and according CPU temp probe, Speedfan recognises all the temp sensors and headers in your PC.


   7. Then, after all this is done, start a stressfull application, like Prime95, Aida64 system tester or intel burn test, to raise the temps and verify that the controlling suite works.
 
   8. After that, all you need to do is go in the startup folder ( C:\Users\YOURUSER\AppData\Roaming\Microsoft\Windows\Start Menu\Programs\Startup) and create a shortcut to Speedfan. Very nice guide/how-to, lots of people here will appreciate and find it usefull.

Well, i don't have pics but a video, will post when i get home, basically i had my pc to power another mobo with the raw basics to which i straightened 40 pins (lga 1155) the short 24pin forced me to make it very ghetto :))

6/10 the focus seems to be missing and the colors are a bit faded.
