Don't take it to heart. Its just that with the release of the 1000 series it will take WAY LONG to think of the 1100 series. Hence there's no point of discussing about the future of 1100 series when Nvidia has not even released their 1000 series cards.

Alright then we'll just see guys. Or maybe AMD has something up on their sleeves...

So.... TLDR; Should I hold on to my 980 for 'whatever/whenever' the 1080 Ti releases or get the 1080? Thanks for the quick reply guys really appreciated it!

Huh. Even more the reason I should hold on to my 980. But for the price, I think it's a worthy upgrade of those holding a 780 or a 780ti?

Hey guys. Seeing the recent reveal of the GTX 1080 and 1070 cards, like others I'm super excited about upgrading to them. With the GTX 1080 being 'double' the performance of a Titan X, is there any possibility of a GTX1080 Ti in the upcoming months? Because I've made a mistake upgrading from a GTX 760 to a GTX 980 (because of the performance) but the GTX 980 Ti was announced a few months later. What do you guys think?

Depends on your budget. Then again Minecraft (without Mods) would be alright with an i5.

Will an FX-6300 CPU bottleneck a 980TI?
gaming4z replied to TeleToby_'s topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
What are the games you'll be playing? With such horsepower, I'm assuming maybe the upcoming games such as Battlefield 1? (H Y P E) Then you definitely have a bottleneck. -
Will my i5 4590 bottleneck a GTX 1080
gaming4z replied to THE_EPIC_TWIST's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Like what others said. I think your better off with a 'price-reduction' of a 970. Because with the new cards the old card's pricing will definitely drop. Otherwise, it's your money dude! -
Actually you CAN overclock on an H chipset. Just those ASUS ones. Quote me if im wrong

Cooler Master's Quickfire XT's (Brown/Red switches) are kinda good Just the mechanical keys tho, (plus anti-ghosting) but no keyboard backlighting or macro keys, but should be good enough for a budget keybaord

In my opinion, anything except the Razer's. Not being mean here but my Razer Tiamat died on me just weeks before it can even wear out... Maybe I had bad luck on my case but I'll think the Logitech G430's a good imo! (using one now )

Not sure about Zotac, but I'll agree with the rest. MSI generally gets the Job done at a lower price point than asus (they're usually 10~20$ more expensive)
-
Oh hell no. >< But back to the topic I've got an Asus Gtx 980 Strix and it performs like a beast!

Okay I'll try BeltBoy's advice. Thanks.
