  1. So i am having an issue when using the program Air Playit and the CPU usage of it. Basically what the program does is compresses the videos stored on my computer and sends them out to other devices on the network for playback. The problem that I face with this program is that it eats CPU usage causing sudden frame drops in many games. I am looking for either an alternative program to Air Playit that I can use to stream to mainly mobile devices on my network that isn't so heavy on the CPU and maybe streams the full files as they are not too large (can be streamed uncompressed over wifi) and it must have apple and android support. OR a program that allows me to CPU limit certain programs so that rather then it using 100% of my CPU over 5 seconds it perhaps uses 20% over 25 seconds for the same effect. What do you guys recommend? Do you stream media to your devices and what program do you use to do so?
  2. Current storage: WD Blue 7200rpm 500gb - WDC WD500AAKX-083CA1 Samsung 840 120gb SSD I currently have my OS on my SSD and a few programs. Steam, Origin and media is on the 500gb hard drive. I have been looking into buying a second hard drive to raid 0 with the hard drive. Preferably one of these which go on clearance in 3 hours. Amazon Link Q's What would performance be like? 2x a single HDD, as slow as the slowest HDD or as fast as the fastest HDD? What would storage be like? (On raid 0) Do I create the raid in windows through disk management? and Can I do this in Win 8 Pro x64? and finally, Does raid 0 suite my needs? I don't care for security, nearly everything can be re-downloaded and want the most speed possible as a few games will be running off the raid. Thanks
  3. Luckily the warranty still has 500 days left on it so I'll probably do that if need be. I'm pretty sure I cant do that because the computer does not even get to the Asus bios splash screen and is only really 'on' for about a second. But I'll try that now anyway.
  4. I'm pretty sure this was the power supply. http://www.ple.com.au/ViewItem.aspx?InventoryItemID=613298&CategoryID=519 It has a 80+ Silver rating. Unfortunately my brother is only running a 500W power supply which doesn't have enough 6pin plugs for my card.

I briefly remember hearing loud fans through my headset so I am thinking that it overheated. After the computer shutdown from overheating the computer does the following: While graphics card is plugged into the computer the computer will not boot. Screen will remain completely black after pressing the power button. All the fans will do a half turn, like it is about to start up, but it just doesn't. WHAT I'VE TRIED I borrowed my brother's 7770 and tested it in my machine, computer booted no problem. Removing the graphics card and running off onboard will also allow the computer to boot no problem. I have cleared the CMOS but to no avail. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks
