  1. Ok so I play crossfire and cs online but crossfire NA only has an option for 720p or 1366x768. 720p already looks a bit blurry on my 1080p monitor and im wondering if it will look even worse. I play other games as well so thats why im considering a 1440p monitor.
  2. Okay so I got a Corsair CX500 refurbished so I thought that since its corsair quality, it must be good. Now 2 weeks later, the entire computer shut down in a middle of a game and found out that the PSU died. I can't get a refund or exchange so I'm getting a replacement but I'm wonder what are the chances of getting a second defective power supply and does the replacement extend the warranty?
  3. My psu is corsair but I bought it on sale; I'm going to get a replacement from ncix soon
  4. I don't think I can do it, would it be safe to return mobo to store and buy a new psu (it's bought for 30 dollars so no point in rma)
  5. Okay I did the paperclip test with the green and black wires and found out that the psu is defective even though the motherboard light is on because the psu fans did not spin at all
  6. Okay thanks but it worked before for almost two weeks till now
  7. It doesn't even turn on, even when shorting the power switch
  8. Ok I was loading planetside 2 and suddenly my computer can no longer power on. My rig is almost 2 weeks ago and I have run ps2 multiple times beforehand. The mother board led is on and there was no in indication of something going bad beforehand (no smell or weird noise, no degradation in performance) I'm not sure which component right now is faulty. Psu: corsair cx 500w Motherboard: asus m5a87l-m/usb3 ( has integrated graphics) Graphics gigabyte gtx 760 oc version with additional oc to 1106mhz from 1085 with Msi afterburner
  9. I have been playing for five months and I have only encounter like four hackers so far, no one hacks in ca anymore. But it used to be full of hackers like a year ago though.
  10. Okay the cpu cooler is loose b/c when i lay the pc sideways theres no problem. But the stock cooler doesnt have screws so is there any way to fix it?
  11. Now it shuts down at safe mode as well
  12. Well I pressed it quite firmly. It never happened before when I didn't install any windows update but I don't think it would contribute so much of a difference
  13. Okay I just had very bad temp problems. I already replaced my thermal paste three times to no avail. My Computer shuts down every time it reaches 80+ Celsius when idling with a chrome bar. (Takes about 6-8 minutes to shut down) CPU cooler is amd stock cooler (it spins at 2000+ rpm) and I just bought the components five days ago. how do I even go about fixing this?
  14. Okay now opening a chrome tab increases the temp from 35 to 75 and running a browser game just shut down the computer. With only chrome as a major application: CPU 84oC motherboard 81oC This is was just installed yesterday so I had no problems until today...
  15. I just figured out that an installation of a particular windows update caused it but im not sure which one
