VSG got a reaction from FRSHPRNCFBLR in EK-XTOP Revo D5 + EK D5 PWM G2 pump
Hey guys, I wanted to share another review which I felt would be useful to people.
    Introduction

    Unboxing and Overview

    Performance Testing

    Conclusions

VSG got a reaction from Corsair Blake in Best Radiator Fans
    1) That's because the SP120 QE maxed out at 1350 RPM, vs 2400 RPM for the ML120. Just slow the latter down.
    2) Nope, the LEDs and the fan are both at 12 V and the LEDs should not dim at all. If they do you have a faulty fan.

Hell there! Just wanted to chime in. The ML series fan LEDs do not dim when you lower the RPM, unless they're being controlled through voltage. If being powered and controlled through a PWM signal, the LEDs will stay at 100% brightness, all while at 450 RPM.

To answer the initial post, I prefer the ML series fans, even outside the company. I followed VSG's review and was able to achieve similar results. I especially enjoy the fact that they have a sub 800 RPM floor for optimum silence, all while keeping a CPU and GPU cool off of a single 240mm radiator. Yes, they are loud at 2400 RPM, but honestly, what fan isn't? These fans are definitely directed to the best of both worlds, having 600~ RPM while dissipating the same amount of heat from an 800 RPM fan.

VSG got a reaction from VagabondWraith in [UPDATED] Der8auer States Some X299 Low End boards Have Bad VRM Coolers
FYI, there is a good possibility the PSU used influenced this a lot. He's using the Superflower PSU with the transparent modular connectors. That particular model uses the same 9-pin connector type for ALL connectors. So the nine pins have to support +12 V, +5 V and +3.3 V and ground connections. Thus, if the voltage drops from the PSU to the EPS12V, the VRMs have to pull more current at the lower voltage than it would if the voltage were higher thus causing them to run hotter too. It has fewer +12 V connectors on the PSU side too, so voltage drop is a guarantee.

A lot of the info above came from JonnyGuru whom I was talking with just now about this, so he alerted me to this possibility. I did let Der8aurer know via a message but not sure he'll see it anytime soon.

The SP120L fans are specced between the SP120 QE and HPEs but irrespective of that, how does it matter which one it is if he is running at 500 rpm? At that RPM, any fan will be quiet.

The more I read your posts, the more I get a feeling that you don't really look up what you are posting about. I really hope I am wrong here though since forums are very influential to people coming in to get info.

While they do need help figuring out how not to make the product names get out of hand, this was one of the coolers I was looking forward to getting more info on. I think it is a pretty sweet design, in concept anyway. It is what the Corsair H5 SF should have been, and the flexibility of mounting will interest SFF builders as well. Hopefully performance does not disappoint.

No, it is not censorship. YouTube is not stopping them from continuing to upload videos, and use the website as a platform for sharing/preserving their content. Monetization is a completely different aspect. You could argue that is lowering their incentive to upload videos, but not censoring them.

Monetization is separate from content censorship. If YouTube's advertisers do not want their money spent on certain videos that is YouTube's rights to do as they please.
