  1. Currently using a microsoft keyboard 600, razer mouse and an 8 year old banged-up budget set of headphones. Winning this gear would be shweet!
  2. Currently using an nvidia GTX 750 Ti. Plays most 1080p games, but I'm looking to upgrade to something better. Drools at new tech.
  3. This looks awesome, would be a great for a home theatre setup in a space limited room.
  4. The keyboard is sweet, so would deffo want to win that especially since I'm using a cheapo microsoft keyboard 600 The mechanical switches would be awesome, not to mention a huge upgrade!
  5. Kova looks awesome.
  6. The size of the machine is most appealing to me! This is awesome.
  7. Wow! The Freenix Aria Headset looks awesome.
  8. Hope to see a video of linus testing the speeds of this server now that they have moved! Also, what are the plans should LMG need more storage space? Would they just add another 9 drives z2 pool to the existing 3 pools?

  10. @harrynowl Will re-enabling power saving features after having a stable OC cause instabilities? Just trying to get the most information, most guides seem to avoid saying stuff about these features other than disable them.
  11. Super. Thank you. I'll get back to you all when I've had the chance to do the OC and stress test! Excited.
  12. Hey all! Thanks for the tips so far, I'll try out some of your suggestions. Won't be for a couple of days, given I'm abroad and AFK from the dektop @harrynowl when you say keep NB the same, do you mean keep it at default settings or the 2200MHz settings I have OCed to? Also, what is the basis for 1.4375v? Is that what you have commonly seen among OC's on this chip? Any thoughts on all the power savings features? Is it better to disable them, and then re-enable after overclocking? Are the power savings features worth keeping on? Agreed with the FM2 temp sensors, they are badly interpreted, e.g. HWmonitor reads temps around 70-80 Deg C, at idle. I find the Asus motherboard software suite actually monitors the temperatures with most accuracy. Under load with my 4.2 GHz OC, the temps are around 50 Deg C.
  13. Hi LTT community, So I have built the following for a budget gaming build and would like some advice on overclocking please. Part list: http://uk.pcpartpicker.com/user/mrbrooks/saved/cF76Mp CPU: AMD Athlon X4 760K 3.8GHz Quad-Core Processor (Purchased For £38.20) CPU Cooler: Cooler Master Hyper 212 EVO 82.9 CFM Sleeve Bearing CPU Cooler (Purchased For £24.97) Motherboard: Asus A88XM-PLUS/CSM Micro ATX FM2+ Motherboard (Purchased For £36.95) Memory: Kingston Fury White Series 8GB (2 x 4GB) DDR3-1866 Memory (Purchased For £59.98) Storage: Crucial MX100 512GB 2.5" Solid State Drive (Purchased For £142.54) Storage: Western Digital WD Blue 1TB 2.5" 5400RPM Internal Hard Drive (Purchased For £0.00) Video Card: Gigabyte Radeon HD 7970 GHz Edition 3GB Video Card (Purchased For £115.00) Case: Cooler Master N200 MicroATX Mid Tower Case (Purchased For £36.92) Power Supply: EVGA SuperNOVA NEX 650W 80+ Gold Certified Fully-Modular ATX Power Supply (Purchased For £63.31) Based on my reading online, the 760K, should overclock quite well. I know, some chips might be binned better, but I feel like a 4.5 GHz overclock should be possible. So far I have overclocked my AMD 760k to 4.2 GHz, by setting multiplier to 42x and voltage to 1.4125 in the uefi bios. Northbridge is at 2200MHz with +0.0125V as well, this seems to improve memory performance and I was recommended to have 1.25:1 NB:Memory speed ratio. I have not disabled any power saving features. I have disabled turbo core however. I have run prime 95 for several hours on my 4.2 GHz overclock with small FFTs and it has not crashed. Any advice on how to get to a nice & stable 4.5-4.6 GHz overclock? What should I do next? I have tried to increase multiplier further and increase voltage a bit, but no stability. Are the power saving features preventing me from attaining this? I would quite like to keep some power saving features enabled so that when my PC is idle, it does not keep chugging power. Any advice is highly welcomed. Merry Christmas BTW and if you're reading this in 2015, then Happy New Year too.
  14. I would build the best PC ever to convince my gf to get into gaming.
