  1. Just imagine red switches to be heavier, and there you go that's black switches.
  2. It's really hard to say. I've also read many reviewers saying they got a solid quality one, and that they have no problems with it. I have, however, felt and tried many sample BlackWidows on display, and I personally do not like the quality. Last time I touched a BlackWidow, all I did was apply slight pressure on the wrist area of the keyboard and I could hear loud plastic cracking. Just....poor quality right there.
  3. Cheapest tenkeyless I know is CM Storm Quick Fire Rapid, and usually the blue switch edition is the one that's on sale, and you do not want to bring that for use in school. It will be so loud to the point you might annoy everyone around you.
  4. Yes, it is a really good upgrade, and yes the keycaps do wear off easily. Although the keycap quality isn't the best, the keyboard itself is really good quality and sturdy.
  5. I 2nd that. Ducky Zero series cheap, affordable, and good quality for its price.
  6. If you want a USB on the side, I'd say get a Das keyboard. If possible, find one of the previous generation Das keyboards because that was before they changed OEM, and there are differences in quality between different OEMs. But if you don't mind that then you can get any Das keyboard.
  7. I changed the keycaps on my 6Gv2 to white Zowie keycaps and I think it looks pretty awesome. =D http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/856/photoglvd.jpg/ It also has a black frame with red plating, so it looks similar to a QFR with mx reds.
  8. I got a set of white Zowie keycaps from a friend. Does WASDkeyboards provide keycaps with big enter keys and small shift??
  9. Dude.....that thing is freaking awesome +_+
  10. mx blues is nice :D But after playing with keycaps, I realized keycaps also contribute to the overall feel and comfort of using a mechanical keyboard. If you wanna get keycaps then I say go for it :D
  11. I recommend the Ducky wrist rest as well!
  12. Picture of full keyboard: http://imageshack.us/photo/my-images/856/photoglvd.jpg/
  13. Mouse: I've seen a lot of great reviews and heard lots of recommendations for Zowie mice. SteelSeries recently released a Sensei RAW Frost Blue Edition that is white with blue LEDs. I personally use the Sensei RAW glossy edition, and I really like it. Headset: Ozone Attack Snow Edition. I've used this before and I can tell you this is one of the best gaming headsets you can get for the price. SteelSeries also has, again, a Siberia V2 Frost Blue edition. I don't know about the quality of a Siberia V2, Linus said it's good for gaming but not for other things like movies and music, so it's up to what you are looking for. Keyboard: Off the top of my head, a white keyboard: Cherry G-80-3000. Really basic yet sturdy mechanical keyboard. The aesthetics may not be the best, but I can promise you that its insides and structures are really solid and well built. It's relatively cheap as well. Another white keyboard: Tt eSports Meka G1 Combat White edition (I do not recommend this keyboard though). You can check out one of my posts and see what I did with my SteelSeries 6Gv2 =D
  14. If you are going to get the DeathAdder, I would suggest the 2013 edition. The grip and feel is so comfortable, and it has green LEDs +_+
  15. Sensei RAW. I got a glossy version, and it's totally awesome.
  16. What keycaps are you going to replace on your Rosewill? And which Rosewill keyboard do you use?
  17. Neither. If I am not mistaken, a friend told me they are nylon material keycaps. These are the keycaps you find on the blue/pink versions of the Zowie Celeritas.
  18. Hey guys, I wanted to share what I did with my SS 6Gv2 Red Switch keyboard. I changed the keycaps from the original keyboard to Zowie white keycaps. http://imageshack.us/a/img802/1089/img0437ho.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img201/3428/img0438gr.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img521/382/img0439k.jpg http://imageshack.us/a/img839/6558/img0440kv.jpg What you guys think? :D
  19. I'd recommend getting another keyboard other than the Black Widow. CM Storm, SteelSeries, Ducky, Das, Cherry, lots of good keyboard brands that make better keyboards than the Black Widow.
  20. Different manufacturers, which affects the build quality and quality control. In general, the manufacturer for the QuickFire Rapid is better than the Pro.
  21. What kind of grip style do you prefer?
  22. I wanna see what Cooler Master has got to show in CES this year.

    Corsair K95

First time I saw adjustable backlighting was when Ducky released the Year of the Dragon limited edition 9087 last year. I think having backlights on a keyboard seems cool but I've never really been a fan of that, so for the K95....not too interested.
  24. I really have no idea what SteelSeries is trying to do with these keyboards....
