  1. Necrobump. Got the phone back today, was working perfectly for a couple of hours and then began having EXACTLY the same issues as before, so I guess it's not a result of my "damage" like they thought. So I really hope for OP's sake that they refund me and fix it for free because this is completely unacceptable. Ica
  2. Dear LTT Forum, Over a month ago I sent in my OP5 to go through RMA due to the touch screen not working (back and recent buttons plus the touch display were not responding), after extended periods of being powered off the screen would work for a few minutes at best before going back to being non-responsive. After working through countless emails back and forth, printing out 7 different sheets of paper and waiting for a courier to be sent to my house (the first weird thing about the RMA) to be told I'm missing 2 more sheets that I wasn't sent until I spoke to them again, eventually after a month of beginning the process the phone left my house and got to them. The list of things that really gave red flags -They asked for my phone password (which depending on the circumstances is in breach of Australian Data Security laws) -The extremely long and convoluted process in order to even get the phone to them -After receiving my password they were auto-magically able to determine that the cause of the screen losing function was this small piece of damage which is not even on the touchable part of the display -Are so far unable to give me a reason as to why they needed the password in the first place -Why do you need a software password when the issue is entirely hardware based -I am expected to pay for what seems like a cop out result when the phone is still under warranty -The damage in the image occurred at least 3 months before the phone started having issues, further leading me to believe that the damage and problem are not at all related Overall the amount of stress and frustration this experience has caused me is beyond acceptable, OnePlus say Never Settle: I can safely say that I'm not going to settle until this mess is cleared up. 3. I can't actually use whoever I wish as far as I know, OnePlus provided for me labels to use with my package. They were unable to tell me exactly what to do with the 7 different pieces I had to print out provided by them, the logistics and shipping company I have to use (as provided on the labels OnePlus gave me) is called DPEX
  4. Hey there LTT Forum, I purchased the OnePlus 5 after a very very long time researching my phone choice upgrading from a hand-me-down iPhone 5s, to be honest I was sold after watching the LLT review on it... The phone is incredible and all of it's QoL features just make use of the phone a breeze, however roughly over a year into my use of the phone the touch display stopped functioning along with the "recent" and "back" buttons. The display functions and shows a display but I cannot touch or make use of it at all outside of the physical buttons. I sent in the RMA request and so far the process has been...interesting: rather than be shipped out a RTS parcel to drop my phone in, along with the charger/cable and ship it back to OP I am expected to purchase a parcel, print out labeling and wait for a courier to come to my house to pick up the package from me directly. This does seem a little strange and outside of the normal for RMA requests...now I love the phone and I still favour OP these RMA difficulties have shaken my loyalty to the brand a little. What are your thoughts? Icarus
  5. Neither of them are 144hz but are otherwide perfect monitors bar the price tag.
  6. Monitors have come a long...long way from their birth. And with the upgrade of a 1080ti (or whatever equivalent is available at the time) I would like to add a new monitor to my system. Preferably, one with the following specs... -1440p -Ultrawide -IPS Display -144hz refresh rate -G-Sync It would also have to be available in Australia, for obvious reasons. Information even would be awesome. Cheers, Icarus
  7. G'day OP, The first thing I found (that made me chuckle a little) is the 4.6mhz, yes that's a typo I know. No mention of a GPU? It would help greatly to let us know. Aside from that, if you're playing more modern games like stated in your post then Ryzen is definitely compelling, CoffeeLake is...well a valid upgrade if you can justify the added cost, especially coming from such an older architecture. This is just a think once write once so any specific questions I'll be able to answer properly. Regards, Icarus
  8. The entire album Toxic Minds by Scythelord (Joel from Vinesauce) Buuuut that just finished so the Norwegian Black Metal group Mayhem. Yes I like metal, hello to you too <3
  9. G'day OP. Should be fine but you'll be pushing power limits. I always like to check PCPartPicker for their handy Power Draw calculator, simply "Start a New Build" and enter the parts you're using and voila! The power draw is calculated, use the numbers from that to see whether you'd like to bump it up or even down. Regards, Icarus
  10. No. Not okay. Not acceptable. Comic Sans is a nono.
  11. I will vouch for all ASUS cards, Poseidon card so far has had the best water overclock that I've seen.
  12. Cool. Jokes aside, I can vouch for Fractals lineup, quiet, cold and strong. I personally have the Kelvin S36 on my 7700k, keeps everything below 60C at stock, and just below 69-70C when at 5Ghz.
  13. I recommend watching the Teardown of the MSI Lightning 1080ti, find out just how pointless those 3 power plugs are....
