  1. You are very incorrect. Dual loops are less efficient on all levels than a single loop. Single loops allow you to use all available rad space at all times, dual loops do not. Warming of components that are not being used is not even a concern so I'm confused why you would even worry about this. Rad efficiency goes up with higher fluid temps and has no relation to temperature glide across components. If you want some 'credentials', I work at EK and have been doing this far longer than you.....
  2. PETG and Glycol coolants = Broken. Glycols are a solvent for PETG. I have been saying till im blue in the face,PETG is not acceptable for our us.
  3. I painted stock acrylic blocks. Updates later today!
  4. S Frame has had its etch coat but I wanted to see how everything looks in place...... Now to plot out where im doing my cut outs and look at how im running the carbon fiber tubing to keep everything tidy. As some may know,I handed in my notice at EK so I will be concentrating on packing up all my crap and driving back to the UK....just in time for the nuclear lightshow! This means thee will be a few weeks of doing nothing with this build or I may smash the paint out before I go...depending on weather.
  5. Our resident lens monkey and professional Serbian took some pics today....... Thanks Atila.
  6. And they are done. Yum! Now to get on with the S Frame itself. The paint is LUMO yellow with a black based marble with silver overlay. 2k clear to finish. Very pleased with how they came out!
  7. 2 out of 3 done......I think I will do the last one tomorrow.....
  8. I know....I have not been updating very often......but...... Blocks are nearly done along with the rads,I used LUMO yellow and marblizing solution to get the effect.....and like last time,I need a boat load of clear to finish them up. Luckily I have some awesome 2K clear to hand! Now I am just waiting for a nice day....
  9. CF works just fine. The tolerance is acceptable, get a small test sample and try it out before just scrapping it. I am just awaiting my CF tube for the S Frame im doing.
  10. Update! So,while im waiting for spring to arrive in Slovenia...basement is too damn cold!....I went about getting the mobo ready to go,some paintwork to complement the chassis.... Progress is slow...im hibernating! Paint is a 3 stage flouro yellow, the same used with LUMO. I also started mounting the cable clamps from my new sponsor Nanoxia! Sharp drill bits are a must, many, many holes to drilll......
  11. Glad you like the paint buddy, always a pleasure for you.
  12. After a delay,in which I moved to Slovenia to be part of EK's R&D department, here is a small update in the progression of my labour of love on this case.... I wanted to keep the drive 'bays' for the 4x 1Tb SSD's so I had to find alternatives.... So the I/O panel in the front was taken out, drilled, and used for the mount, around .5mm between the panel and the case! This puts the HDD out of view and still leaves room to suck the spare cabling into, there will be a little vanity plate covering the top and shielding everything from view. Lets add a 'one of a kind' EK Rampage V ED10 monoblock! And 2 500Gb WD Black HDD's which I had laying around, these will add a little surface detail, something that should go well with the mecha feel. And a 6900k? Go on then.... And with the EK XE360? Yum! Awaiting the cable clips from Nanoxia so the wiring can be done, this is the next job on the list.....
  13. External holes filled, now to paint the outer shell and lots of clearcoat! I love this little In Win 901. Its been a challenge and there is still hardwork to be done but its starting to look more like it did in my head!
  14. The center piece is a machined acrylic piece that slots in a hole.
  15. So... Its been a while..... But not forgotten! First stage paint on today and I machined the plastic inserts for the side panels! And its ma burfday intit.!
  16. I will be eventually. ASUS want me to show off RGB....(sigh) but it will get the blocks after they show it off for a bit.
  17. Hi everybody and welcome to my newest log! This build is going to be based around the mighty S Frame,a case I have been itching to mod since it first released, thanks Katerina @ In Win NL for giving me the last one they had! https://www.inwin-style.com/en/gaming-chassis/S-Frame Im going for a mecha look this time using the same colour palette as LUMO but with the yellow as highlight rather than the dominant colour. It seems a shame to take drills, saws and files to such a beauty of a case but I have big plans... Hardware! ASUS have stepped with a rampage Edition 10 and a pair of 480's! https://www.asus.com/uk/Motherboards/ROG-RAMPAGE-V-EDITION-10/ https://www.asus.com/uk/Graphics-Cards/ROG-STRIX-RX480-O8G-GAMING/ All the extras...and that DAC unit.... And with the gorgeous DDR4 from G Skill! http://www.gskill.com/en/product/f4-3200c16q2-64gtzky 2 of the 4 Strix 480's going in here..... And in the case? Power is coming from my trusty 1500w Platimax, about time it did stuff other than powering pumps when filling loops! Watercooling to come from EK of course! This one is a labour of love so it will not be a quick log and I do ask people comment,positive/negative doesnt matter, feedback is welcomed! Thanks to the contributors to this log,ASUS UK,EKWB,G Skill and the ever awesome In Win!
  18. Thanks! Im glad you like it. Still doing some tinkering to maximize the cooling performance, pics soon.
  19. Im glad you guys like it,no one will like every part of the build but the fact you look beyond that and sum the whole build means a lot to me. Thanks! x
