  1. Thanks, I think this looks very good
  2. Hi guys, I am UK based and making a video editing PC and high end gaming machine (high as I can afford). I already own a power supply & case for this build. My budget for the rest of the parts is £1300 to £1500. The parts below come to about £1300. Is there any components I should put some more money into? The motherboard is one of the cheapest, not sure if I should get something more pricey. I think AMD Ryzen is a good choice for my workflow but maybe I should get the 1700k and get a cooler? but the 1700 with the stock cooler might do me fine, save some money. The 1080 I've chosen comes with some cashback but I could maybe stretch to a Ti, but would it be worth it? or perhaps get a 1TB SSD over the 500GB? Thank you
  3. I am using a 7800 series AMD GPU at the moment. I could really do with a little more power as I am doing alot of video editing along with gaming.
  4. The Kova. I would love a flashy gaming mouse. All I have ever got was the cheapest on the market
  5. Well it is a Free Trial for the customer. Thats a necessity to bring in the customers that will then play the monthly charge. I figure the money she loses on the three months will be easily paid back after she gets a regular royalty cheque after the trial.
  6. It seems reviews say this is the best smartwatch as of yet. But like other smart watches its not yet reached its potential. Every smart watch is lacking in some way and it will be a problem until we get good batteries.
  7. They made the same claim when they released the console. Didn't do anything then. I will take this news with a grain of salt.
  8. Vessel ID coreRoss Nice retro unboxing: https://www.vessel.com/videos/LPECtSnEh I hope to buy a good mic for my channel, once I have myself a new job: https://www.vessel.com/videos/CxA-ZvSbz
  9. Seems pretty reasonable. But can't wait for a step forward with battery technology. Whenever that may happen...
  10. Tek Syndicate put up a video review of one of these today. Looks impressive.
  11. This has been a thing since the game was released on consoles. Texture packs for things like Mass Effect and Halo. It's not a new thing.
  12. I think the Wan Show has been my fav part, or the build logs... so much good stuff. Im glad you guys make a living doing what you do as its well worth it and valuable to me.
  13. People were talking about the death of the PC, that never happened. I think its just easy for people to say that there going to die off.
  14. I love the look of the SSD other than the huge logo. If the logo was a bit more subtle and smaller it would be a nice looking SSD.
  15. Favourite part about the Z2, the water proofing. Favourite thing about dbrand, that there supporting Linus and the community by giving Linus a phone to review and a phone for the community to win.
  16. People are getting upset because you've posted in the "Tech News and Reviews" section of the forum. Forum's can be hard to navigate if your unfamiliar. You mush be seeing something like this one your motherboard http://i.imgur.com/XVyiJ.jpg You can have a read of your motherboard manual, look for a diagram like this, http://halibutt.pl/files/fotosy/diagram.jpg See if you can figure out if anything matches what your looking for. Edit: I have had a look at the motherboard manual online and you will see the diagram page marked 1.2.2, in the diagram its marked as number 20 and the next page lists it as "Front panel audio connector (10-1 pin AAFP)", you will then find the close up diagram on page 1-40.
  17. Nice to know how secure these systems are. Im guessing thats not been fixed too. As long as you don't use your own card and keep your face out of cameras (and buy from a store not in your area) you could probably get away with this once. People can never do it just once though, then you get caught.
  18. I built my first PC over 2 years ago (a budget PC too). And I am finding it surprisingly capable today. Originally I was going to build a new PC next year to replace her but I am not seeing as much of a need as I had thought I would. My question is, do I simply get a higher end graphics card next year and leave the plans for a new build for a few more years? If I don't have to build an entire PC I would have a pretty good budget for the new card too. My specs are: AMD Phenom II X4 965 BLACK 3.4GHz (over clocked to 3.9Ghz) Gigabyte GA-970A-UD3 AMD 970 DDR3 ATX Corsair Vengeance 8GB 2x 4GB 1600MHz DDR3 Seagate Barracuda 2TB XFX Pro 550W Core Edition PSU COOLERMASTER - HAF 912 Plus ATX SAPPHIRE - AMD Radeon HD 7850 2 GB I added a Samsung 250GB SSD this year as the boot drive. I have my gaming setup in the living room with the PC and console connected to the TV so I won't be going over 1080p resolution. Ive decided not to go the crossfire route. What do you think would be a good idea for keeping my rig running games smooth and at excellent graphic levels or should I just go for a new build for improvements all around (I also use my computer just for gaming).
  19. My parents had a 4 year iBook, well outside of any warranty they had. They took it to the Apple store to see if they could do anything about some cracks on the top of the laptop. They came back in an hour and they had replaced the entire top including the display for free. Ive never needed any of my apple stuff repaired or sent back so there is no experience for me to give. If were talking about comparing it to other customer service, my xbox 360 elite died outside of its warranty and it was replaced by free from microsoft because it was a recognised fault and that was an easy fix. All online and just get it picked up by UPS, wait 2 weeks and a new one arrived. Seemed like a good service.
  20. "Now, a team of researchers is claiming to have solved some of graphene’s difficult manufacturing problems and believes they can commercialize the approach" Focus on "claiming", It's just researchers making a sales pitch to get investors on board. It will still be years away when someone figures it out.
  21. My favourite thing is like the size, I want to try a larger phone.
