  1. i know 16gb isnt enough i would recommend 32 but its not like everyone has a few thousand dollars burning a hole in his pocket and i thought the quad core i5 would be decent for the time being?
  2. A friend has been asking me about computer parts lately since he is in the photography business, he bought a 4k sony camera recently and he uses adobe premiere to edit the videos he makes, he asked me about a gpu i can recommend to him that would help him not only render faster but make adobe premiere not lag, prices for gpus in our country are different of course so its kind of hard to recommend him a gpu that would be the best for his money, help? And oh his other pc components are the i5 4440 3.10ghz and 12gb of ram he 3 gpus i cant decide on are the gtx 1050 ti, rx 470 (when its back in stock) and rx 570 both rx cards being the 4gb version of course. the prices of the gpus are as follows gtx 1050 ti $178 USD, rx 470 (normally cheapest when in stock) $227 USD, rx 570 $255 USD. after upgrading his gpu he said he wants to upgrade his cpu, i recommended him the r5 1600, and 16gb of ram, so anyway is it the gpus fault that makes adobe premiere lag during 4k rendering? (or any resolution rendering) i dont know the current gpu in his rig but its definitely something low end (since he was looking at the gt 730 for an upgrade)
  3. So I've been having this problem with my laptop for about a week or even 10 days maybe (who's counting?) and I'm new to the forums so if this is not the place to post this, sorry. Every time I watch a video on the internet (I watch mostly YouTube tech videos no surprise here) or even just download a movie and watch it on a movie player after about an hour or half an hour I don't know what it depends on, my laptop starts to lag, I mean cpu usage hovers around 60% AT MOST if I'm watching a movie on YouTube or just a movie I downloaded. I tried to defrag my hard drive idk what happened I just played games on my phone an about an hour later I see everything is finished and i gave it a restart. Nothing, before that I went to power settings and turned everything to high performance since i reinstalled windows on it recently and forgot to set it at high instead of balanced (read that in another forum) and for the time being, it stopped but again after a few hours, started again I just don't know what to do anymore. My laptop is not that bad, I mean for watching videos or movies it shouldn't be a problem, sure its not a game killer i barely play League of Legends with 4 fps in team fights but damn, its an HP laptop that I've got about an year and 10 months ago so almost 2 years ago for school and so on, its got an intel pentium n3510 1.99GHz quad core cpu intel hd graphics 1 tb hdd and 8gb of ram, It's warranty is to this December so If theres anything I can do to solve this problem someone notify me if I missed something or even if I should do something else or send it to repairs before my warranty expires on December, I'll be really fucked up if this happens especially when I'm graduating this year in my last year of highschool and I've got a shit ton of projects to do and I need a laptop but can't afford a new one.. hell my parents are using an almost 10 year old computer which used to be mine no graphics card with a dual pentium d 3.00GHz processor with its integrated shitty graphics and it runs smooth on 720p YouTube videos although it needs to be replaced soon as well, help?
