Rhys1523 got a reaction from Warren Pnigel in Is your son a computer hacker?
Oh my, what a find. I can't believe this garbage.
'If your son has undergone a sudden change in his style of dress, you may have a hacker on your hands.'
Thank you!

Rhys1523 got a reaction from Nosfy in Folding@Home
Folding at home takes the molecular structure of a protien and using maths and the properties of amino acids to determine the way that each protein folds to become a working protein. With eggs, the whites of an egg are clear when they are raw. That is because the protein is folded in a fuctional form. When you cook it it goes white because the protien 'denatures', theis is when the folded structure is changed permanently and can't be reversed. This is a watered down way of describing it, but F@H does this with other proteins to determine the likelyhood of cancer or other diseases developing. Of course it is much more detailed than this, like active sites, competetive inhibitors and activation energies, however this is pretty much what it is doing. You are helping with scientific research by just letting your computer do the work. Feel proud!

Rhys1523 got a reaction from Rafayellow in Want to buy new M.2 SSD. Should I choose PCIe or SATA?
The PCIe SSD should be faster, however every thing has their ups and downs. This article seems to have some nice info in it:

Rhys1523 got a reaction from Janezzz in What PSU should I get
Probably should get a 850W PSU, however if you want to add more parts later, then you may have to go slightly bigger.

Rhys1523 reacted to Kidbest100 in Is Linus homophobic?
Everyone has known from the beginning, that Linus is clearly a gay man with a wife and child. He is gay for computer hardware, and if you can't accept that, then leave.
We all love Linus, and support him in every way.

Rhys1523 reacted to LinusTech in Is Linus homophobic?
"Full homo" is a colloquial term used to imply that a relationship is sexual rather than platonic.
The "homo" part means that the relationship is between two members of the same sex, so while adaptations could exist that are appropriate for use with a member of the opposite sex, I didn't need to use them because Slick is male, and I am male.
It's about like any other joking around that friends (of same sex, opposite sex or anywhere else on the spectrum) might do. I've said similar crap to girls too, and no one cares about that. As long as everyone involved is comfortable with kidding around in such a manner, then it's all between consenting adults, and everyone else can just move right along.
If anyone was offended, then two things:
1. I'm sorry your feelings were hurt.
2. Lighten up.
