Hi @Shaqalac - The RGB-W are a 5-pin header design, so they wouldn't be directly compatible with the ASUS Aura. You could purchase an individual RGB strip for the adapter, and then purchase the RGB-W's and have control of the RGB portion of the RGB-W kits, but you wouldn't have control of the W portion like you would if you purchased a kit with the included controller.

net exactly tech related, but i'm pretty damn hyped already!

Yes. You can run
sudo mdadm --detail /dev/md0 or
cat /proc/mdstat -
Shaqalac reacted to MG2R in Howto: create your own linux home server using Debian
Nope, that command should just grow whatever XFS file system you throw at it to the maximum size available

Maybe I should upgrade at some point then. For now my focus is to expand the Raid array and upgrade my main rig to Win 10
Here's a screenshot of the command "lsblk"
From this picture I can see that the command I should run to expand the array should be
mdadm --add /dev/md0 /dev/sdfmdadm --grow --raid-devices=5 /dev/md0 -
Shaqalac reacted to Maki Role in Loramentum - A watercooled, wall mounted rig - Fan and lighting upgrade! 27/01/17
So today I come with big news and a big request.
First up, let's get the request out of the way shall we?
As some of you may know, voting began a few days ago for the Cooler Master World Series modding competition. Some of you may also know that every year this competition turns into a massive popularity contest, thankfully moderated by a panel of judges. However, the votes are still vitally important, and this is where you come in. Please, please pop by and lend a vote for this mod if you enjoyed the log. This week is likely to be the last hurrah for Loramentum as now it has begun its (hopefully) long life as a functional PC, maybe popping to a LAN or two.
The voting page can be found here:
http://woobox.com/bpkyfp/vote?web=1
I'm going to need every vote you can muster, this competition is wide reaching and you can bet your bottom dollar that people are promoting their builds like mad. If you want Loramentum to gain a placing, then please show your support there also. More than 300 people followed this project on LTT, that's insane, you've been a blast to talk to and I loved the journey of getting to know you.
But I don't want to be unfair to you all either, so I figured now would be a good time to let the cat out of the bag on what's in store for the future to an extent:
Argentum - The Sequel to Loramentum!
So shortly after completing Loramentum, Justin of Parvum Systems contacted me with a very interesting proposal. To make a sequel to Loramentum, but with balls to the wall crazy hardware and an all new design. How could I resist?
Here are the current proposed specs:
CPU: Intel Core i7 5960x
Motherboard: Asus X99-E WS
RAM: 64GB Corsair Dominator Platinum DDR4
Power Supply: Superflower Leadex Platinum 2000W 8-Pack Edition (!)
Graphics: 4x Nvidia GTX Titan X (yes, that does say 4x)
Storage: TBD
As you can see, this is going to be ridiculous spec-wise, hopefully the build will be able to match also!
As the name would suggest, whilst Loramentum was gold, Argentum will be silver. As for the design, well, you'll have to wait and see

Heard about this topic on the WAN Show Thought I'd brag a little about my tiny little NAS box (mrbig), and the backup for it (boris).
Mr Big:
Hardware
CASE: Lian Li PC-Q25B
PSU: Seasonic G 450W (I think)
MB: Intel DBS1200KP mITX LGA1155 C206 Server Motherboard
CPU: Intel Core i3-2120 @ 3.3GHz

HDD 1: 5x 2TB Seagate ST2000DM001
HDD 2: 2x 2TB Western Digital Red WD20EFRX
RAID 1: 11TB 7x2TB md RAID5 "data"
Software and Configuration
Running OpenMediaVault 1.16 (Debian Wheezy Based NAS distro)
Usage
Mainly used to store media (videos, music, photos), a apt mirror, and "random downloads" folder for all computers on lan.
Backup
Backed up nightly to a secondary 5x3TB RAID5 array in another box.

Boris
Hardware
CASE: Antec 900
PSU: Antec Trupower
MB: Supermicro X9-SCM-FO
CPU: Intel Xeon E3-1230
HS: Silenx Tower HS (no fan)
RAM: 16GB Kingston 4x4GB DDR3-1333 CL9 ECC
RAID CARD 1: IBM M1015 (not flashed with 9211-it firmware)
HDD 1: 5x 3TB Seagate ST3000DM001
HDD 2: 3x 1TB Seagate ST31000524AS
HDD 3: 2x 500GB Seagate ST3500418AS
RAID 1: 500GB 2x500GB md RAID1 (system LVM vg0)
RAID 2: 12TB 5x3TB md RAID5 (backup for mrbig)
RAID 3: 1.8TB 3x1TB md RAID5 (currently unused LVM pv, may be extension for vg0, or new volume group for virtual machines)
Software and Configuration
Running Debian (Sid) Linux, with a primary 5x3TB md RAID5 array, and a secondary 3x1TB RAID5.
Usage
Backup for Mr Big's "data" volume.
Backup
Primary RAID5 Array is NOT backed up, it IS the backup.
Secondary RAID1 Array is used as the system drive, and as a destination for the nightly rsnapshot backups of all machines on my lan.
Rsnapshot backups are duplicated to two (or will be, currently just one, need to fix the S3 destination) remote sites.
note, formatting looks a little borked in the preview, but is fine in the editor, not sure what's up there?

Totally agree. If I were to buy it, it would be as a collectors item only but it's a damn cool one.

I think it's been 3 months since I got this keyboard and I've finally got around to take photos of it.
It has become my new daily driver, I really like the heavy Cherry MX Milk switch.
That's about enough text, time for a few pictures. For full album check my signature.

Well there's a few thing you need to figure out first.
- What size keyboard do you want (full size, TKL, 60%)?
- Backlit or not?
I'm not sure how well made QPad's keyboards are.
If you're looking for something similar to the QPad, try take a look at Cooler Master's keyboard.

Just a general FYI, I haven't forgotten about this, but I'm in the middle of exams at the moment and will then be away for a while, so I'll update the list when I get back.

That would be the 78 edition, which is completely sold out. You will have to search fora and eBay and remember to bring a big bag of luck

I've only just begun to use my YoTH, after I've had it for some time now. I'm not joking, within the first 5min of usage, this was exactly my thought as well. The arrow keys are not easy to access at least not quickly. The way the 2013 Ducky mini's function keys are placed seems more convenient at least for easy and quickly navigation and gaming.
