Yeh that's still only in major cities and it doesn't extend far from their CBD's. The problem is that the Telcos need to do that in the first place. If we had the original NBN the telcos would have absolutely no need in the slightest to plan new networks, because they would be redundant in comparison.

The bullshit is that to get hydrogen you must break down water molecules, which requires a large amount of energy. Instead of going Electricity > Car, it's going Electricity > Hydrogen > Car. It's using energy to break down a precious resource when we could just be using electricity and getting a car that performs the same if not better.

The most dangerous there is the answers to secret questions IMO, very likely to be re-used elsewhere by a lot of people, I know it says no personal info involved but if the email address was captured that is again likely to be re-used elsewhere.

It wouldn't drive me away, but your unboxings are my primary news source for new tech. I used to follow several different Youtube channels for that sort of thing, but since you did the best job, and with a style that I really enjoy, I basically rely on your channel alone now.

So I vote "No". I would be very sad to see the unboxings go away.

I personally see the unboxings as the bread and butter of LinusTechTips.  The occasional video card roundup or product demo/review or build guide is a nice little treat, but the unboxings are what we can count on seeing every day.

I wouldn't say ditching unboxings is totally a bad thing, but it certainly would dramatically alter the foundation of your channel.  Whether you feel prepared for such a change is up to you I suppose.

EDIT: A much less dramatic solution would be doing away with certain types of unboxings.  We can all agree that unboxings of CPUs and LED strips are utterly useless, but chassis unboxings are extremely useful so prospective buyers can see what they're getting.  I'd say keep unboxing products that aren't just like every other product in their respective categories.  Whereas for things like fans, GPUs, and so on, roundups are more than sufficient.

I think I will stick it out with W7 and wait for Steam OS and then side load Steam OS for games. Keep Windows for browsing the web. Unless Steam OS can do just as much as W7 then I will make a complete switch.

It's a TV. If someone out there is broadcasting in 4k, it'll be in 30fps anyway.

It's clearly marketed as a TV, therefore it's intended to be used as a TV.

Tranquility reacted to nicehat in New study says games have no negative impact in kids
A cohort study following kids at 3 yrs to 7 yrs and looking for att disorders? The age cutoff at 7 shows that this study wasn't sensitive for problems like adhd which, according to DSM criteria, get diagnosed between ages 6 and 12. If this study cuts off at 7, how well waas it able to detect attention disorders? If not adhd what attention disorders were they expecting to fish out at such a young age?
The same can be said about emotional problems. What emotional problems were they expecting to fish out when the cohort ends at the age of seven? The american assoc of pediatrics says that video games hits the growing brain hard, and has setup guidelines for limiting visual stimulus for a good reason. If you want the "prove" anything, you're going to need more studies and meta analysis with age groups that encompass the entire pediatric span (0-18)

"obligatory comment remind everyone about Australia, the first world country with third world internet."

Seriously, stupid study is stupid. the Americans doing these studies need to stop whinging, and remember they're comparing themselves to smaller countries with a more dense population, higher density=more affordable high speed internet for ISP (not even talking about the end user here copper and fibre ain't cheap to lay, and ain't cheap in general when copper)

    also. my speed test

    to

those are my highest and lowest speedtests sits on average just below 2
I pay $99 a month for it, and 1TB of data (like I'll ever hit that)

And as anyone in my ts3 will tell you, my packet loss can be over 80% and my ping can hit 9999^

Not really anything like this, but yes we can run for more then 24 hours. I think my record 98 hours while rolling through Iraq while in contact with the enemy off and on. Last time I was truly sick from a virus was several years ago. I take care of myself, so... yeah.

Because if you understood what they were trying to do, then you would have your answer. They're looking to use the liquid to also help with power as wel, and make it more like the human brain

It does complicate the design, yes, but the improvements gained could be astounding to say the least. They also theorize that it could help power the chips, doubtfully all the way, but even a small power coupled with a PSU would be awesome and save on bills.

And yeah, for me, I read a little of every website and actually make up my mind then.

Building it into the die itself. Basically allowing "channels" to be created to help cool the components.

Fox News isn't all bad, happy to see there are still people who think for themselves instead of mindlessly following a crowd of haters. As for the technology it sounds amazing if they can make it work properly and reliably. It vastly complicates design though, and with the speed of light already being a limiting factor in processor manufacturing I can see them running into a bunch of issues.
