  1. Unfortunately, this hasn't worked. Is there any other options? Because at the moment I've got the wifi on my phone and tethering that to my pc, and it's far from a permanent solution. I've tried that already =\
  2. The only thing I can think of is the IPV4 properties and both the IP and DNS are obtained automatically.
  3. Yep, but in the Local Area Connection Properties > Internet Protocol Version 4 Properties under the alternate config tab you can change it, I think? I put my computers ip and subnet in the user configured part. Either way, doing that didn't work. Already done that one . It's something I always have to do with my colleges computers so they stop turning off my external hard drive. Edit: It just slipped my mind while typing. But I'm the only one with 254 in the default gateway on the network. The rest end in .1. I'm not trying to access the router, I'm trying to access the internet. That being said, I can access the router both through routerlogin.net and 192.168.0.1, but I cannot access the internet.
  4. I can't connect to the internet on this PC. All the other devices on the network can access the internet, including the wireless ones. I can still access my router through chrome with 192.168.0.1. Windows troubleshooting tool gives me the default gateway not available response. I've tried powercycling the system and network to no avail. All drivers and whatnot are up to date. I'm on Win7 64-bit with a gigabyte GA-Z68X-UD4-B3 motherboard that uses a realtek chipset. I suspect it's something to do with the default gateway being 192.168.0.254 and I've tried changing it to 192.168.0.1 in the ipv4 properties but it didn't work. Any other possibilities before I try reinstalling windows?
  5. This isn't meant to be a short term fix. I see this being rolled out over decades, not just putting everything out in 5 years. On the topic of owners of the road; Just let the government pay for everything and then become an electricity wholesaler. Then the government can just sell to the energy companies, or the energy companies can have a lease to certain roads. I agree with botbuilder on the fact that making it modular would solver the issues of panels breaking. I believe that it already is modular in the hex grids that they have. Also in terms of the efficiency argument, the simple thing to do is to make future iterations backwards compatible so that when one breaks or reaches the end of it's lifespan, you replace it with a newer model, eventually everything will get up to scratch albeit slowly and progressively.
  6. Yeh that's still only in major cities and it doesn't extend far from their CBD's. The problem is that the Telcos need to do that in the first place. If we had the original NBN the telcos would have absolutely no need in the slightest to plan new networks, because they would be redundant in comparison.
  7. At least you governments are doing something to allow google fibre. The Australian is paying $40 billion to cover the country in a mish mash of sub-par technologies with will never see us past 25down/1up. To make matters worse google couldn't step in with google fibre even if they wanted to because of anti cherry picking laws which won't allow any telcos to build new networks so there's no competition.
  8. I probably like the fact that the charging port is on the bottom the most. That way I can recharge it with portable battery banks on the go a lot easier. My current phone the One X has a side port so it doesn't fit in my pocket when I want to do this.

  10. The bullshit is that to get hydrogen you must break down water molecules, which requires a large amount of energy. Instead of going Electricity > Car, it's going Electricity > Hydrogen > Car. It's using energy to break down a precious resource when we could just be using electricity and getting a car that performs the same if not better.
  11. He said in one of his comments on the video that his daughter was filming.
  12. Ghosts and stuff is a song by DeadMau5. It also has the mouse head that they use in the icon.
  13. Let's comment about the cooler when the post is about the case.... But yeh EChondo isn't wrong. Those hard drive cages look they can be individually removed. If they can't be removed at all, wouldn't touch it.
  14. To be completely honest I'm not exactly sad to see this go from the Playstore. I get that the app was supposed to make it easier to rom your phone, but they made it far too easy for you to mess around with things you shouldn't be. I think just keeping the app on their site and then having to put it on your phones SD card then installing is the way to go. It's by no means hard to do this, and if you find it difficult, look away from custom roms and don't turn back.
