Hello all,
I just got this PC today, set it up and set up windows and got to the desktop. I started to install and uninstall programs as you do. (Steam, Razer Synapse, etc.) I go to restart the PC and it forces me into the BIOS. I try and exit the bios and it brings me right back. I realize that the installed M.2 SSD is no longer being detected. I call MSI support and the tech support rep suggests to check connections and such. I try this and no luck. I also tried other slots for the M.2 slots on the MOBO and no luck there either.
I am wondering what my options are. Here's what I have figured out.
I could return the PC to Newegg for a refund. BUT i got the PC at a great sale and don't want to go through the hassle of a return.
I got the CPS 2 year warranty Newegg offered i could submit a claim through them and see what they can offer to fix
MSI Warranty is also another option.
The above solutions suggest I'll need to send the PC away to get it looked at and fixed. I was wondering if I just simply get a replacement drive and install it. What would i need to install windows back onto it? And where would i get my windows license/serial # if need be. OR I use my old computers SATA 2.5inch SSD boot drive and simply install in the prebuilt any troubles with that?
Sorry for my ignorance i've been out of the game of PC building for years and hoping to figure out a hassle free solution. Thanks for reading and let me know if you need more info.
