One of the worst things is walking into a Best Buy and being told that the salesman don't make commission off products (flat-out lie), then they recommend "gaming" hardware to me (me knowing better), like gts650's at ridiculous prices. Then (since I'm messing with them), when I tell them that I can get a gtx670 that's way better for the same price online, they get mad and try to tell me that their warranties are better! The only thing I like about those stores is being able to return parts that are defective, without an RMA.
Oh and there's this public shop called Gibraltar Trade Center in Michigan here and among a bunch of useless junk, there's a few computer shops. I looked at some of the garbage these small-timers try to sell, then ask them why they don't have any new hardware. They get mad, tell me I don't know what I'm talking about, and try to explain to me why their old Pentium 4 setups tear through games.
I know why they do it, they do it because they have a bunch of old crap they couldn't sell and are now stuck with it. Never going to make money off the parts. Technology moves too fast for the mom and pop computer shops. That's why so many are build on-demand.

What's the best way to figure in pricing for a gaming pc?

I'm talking selling everything: Monitor, Mouse, Keyboard, Headphones, etc as well at the PC itself

My specs are in my sig, however, I have no way to gauge what the worth of my PC is, or would even be considered on the used market. Of course, I'd most likely sell it without the hard drive. Anyone know of an online calculator or soemthing that I could gauge a good price to sell mine for?

If you can use wired internet, that should solve your problem.  If you need the wireless flexibility, I have the same wifi card in an older system and it was a pain to get working.  If you can post a well lit picture of the inside of your computer, that would be great.  I am thinking that a driver reinstall might fix the problem.

Here is the download link for the dell drivers:
    http://www.dell.com/support/drivers/us/en/19/DriverDetails?driverId=NX6F9

Click on Download File and then continue.

If this doesn't solve the problem, post back with the results and we can go from there.  I hope this helps!

Unfortunately, life has gotten the better of me at this point and now I work at a plastics plant. It's full time at decent pay, packing parts for Chrysler, GM, Ford, Honda, and Toyota. I'm a year away from a BA in English and can almost see the finish line.

I agree with what Broseephus is saying. I looked into starting my own custom PC shop when I was in high-school. This isn't the early or late 80's any more. Most people will undercut your cost, regardless of your better hardware, and buy a cheap computer from a big box store. Most people don't care to know what's inside a PC. Most people don't know even what the hell you mean when you say the processor's bottle-necking your video card. You'll get blank stares.
The only people I've seen that sell custom PC's are stuck with very old and outdated hardware that they paid for and will never see a return on their investment. If you're going to do it, do it on a single computer basis and make it something someone else hasn't done. Check out Singularity Computers on YouTube and match what they do, focusing on a niche market of gamer's, and offer a personal warranty on you're builds. But, don't expect to live off what you make. Find a job somewhere else, first.
