msi motherboard power down issues
ukaussi replied to ralphandmike's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Did this ever get resolved as I gave up on my B450 MSI Mortar / R5 3600 with same issue? -

Just wondering if Feser One is still around and searching on Google it seems nobody selling it? Asking because I have zero issues in 12 years with 2 separate purchases of this stuff (UV Red then Clear) and currently 4 years old in existing system and about to do a clean-up before I pass on the system to my teenage daughter (building non custom LC PC) For those interested the dual 780Ti still idles at 24C and rarely higher than 55C, and the 4670K 4.6Ghz OCed idles at 30C and maybe hits 70C max. The EK WB are clear so I can see only minor buildup in the GPU fins. If not available what is best alternative? Dont need fancy colours as tubing red, but reservoir is clear so have a small amount of red mixed into clear if I can repeat the same so I can see easily in res and the WB's look nicer

Lenovo CPU stuck at "Base Speed"
ukaussi replied to ukaussi's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
After watching it today and searching around I think it seems to be a BUG in Task manager as watching the XTU it was showing the FREQ changing up to full 3.9Ghz boost. It also corrected iotself after a 4th reboot and I monitored it and performance seemed unchanged from before so is likely just a visual crapolla from MS W10 is great in many ways (compered to prev Win) but this is a definite WTF especially when you are the IT dept like me and trying to troubleshoot issues on SALES team laptops where 1/2 complain about slightest thing. ... consider this resolved I think -

IN my research I also seem to recall something about P state but have not yet researched that as work crazy -
Lenovo CPU stuck at "Base Speed"
ukaussi replied to ukaussi's topic in CPUs, Motherboards, and Memory
Sorry, should have started with I am a 20+yr IT tech and have built my own home PC for probably last 15 years (see profile image - 4.6Ghz stable OC for 5 years) so I always make sure patched to latest where possible. NOw that I have XTU installed the data it is reporting is weird compared to the clock speed in Task Manager. I can definitely tell though when it is "stuck" like it is today even after a couple of reboots. -
Hey Mates! Wow, been years since I posted here but head is sore from "wall banging" with an issue on many Lenovo laptops at my office which I manage the APAC region Many people complaining of slowness and being sluggish and finally discovered it was intermittent issue with their CPU getting locked/stuck at base speed even when docked on power I only discovered it because my Thinkpad T470s did the same and it is full Lenovo patched and only missing latest 1903 major W10 update All BIOS are set same at factory as we have custom setup but the only way to get it to stop is restart laptop a few times until it becomes "unstuck"!! Not as bad for me when stuck at 2.9Ghz but poor X1 Yoga peeps are stuck at 2.1Ghz (boost is 4.2Ghz) - any ideas? FYI, screenshot is when testing to get it to run at 100% to try to get boost to activate. 2nd is when working properly Cheers UKAussi

Been doing IT support for 15 years and a few weeks back heard one that I almost fell off my Chair when I read it. Large company (500-100) and someone created a support ticket asking "DO WE HAVE ANY WHITE TONER?"

Interesting galactic spin on Sim City / Civilization style game. Watch the video for some info and some of the work they have done themselves without backing. https://www.kickstarter.com/projects/ideologic/interstellar-incorporated-monopolize-the-galaxy Will definitely get made knowing Ben and his dedication. He has also written a couple of Sci-Fi novels with one on Amazon. http://www.amazon.com/Ring-Eternity-Mannequin-B-Ranson-ebook/dp/B00956VV5S
