  1. Well, seeing as ASRock is STILL no communicating with me on the RMA issue, I'll just buy another board and cut back on SATA ports since that was the only board that has the pcie lane assignment that was beneficial to my setup

  2. Sigh for as long as I shall remember. Never going to buy, use or recommend another product from ASRock, idc how much better it is than competing products, I'd pick a biostar product first if it means not using them.

  3. Seems ASRock has ghosted me... Welp here's the email thread @LinusTech @jakkuh_t @James
  4. Is there anyone at LMG that help me out with this? ASRock is really giving me a hard time and it really starting to get on my nerves sigh...
  5. Forums finally lets me upload the pic of the m.2 stand off
  6. I feel like I got ripped off today... May just sell off my current pc parts and be done with pcs

  7. Well a follow up on this. Safe to say ASRock is ripping me off.... They sent me a preapproved label to do FedEx ground shipping in the US and I can't use that to send the board back to them as I live in a different country. They're not even really trying to help the situation at hand. I paid to send a faulty board back to them and they didn't even have the decency to send me back a working one. Welp guess I'll be no longer recommending them in the future as good at their boards might be
  8. It's quite annoying tbh, why send out a board in that condition if you weren't going to test and make sure it's working completely first. Thing could be damaged in other ways and it fried my cpu and they wouldn't replace it for sending out a faulty board.
  9. Doesn't post with or without a GPU or either ofthe two memory kits I have on hand. It posted once with my friend's 5600g and hasn't since that one time I'm not spending money again to send back a faulty board that I shouldn't have received in the first place
  10. It's not a new board, too much dust on it for it to be new. Most likely one that came in for RMA as well
  11. As the title says a RMA board I got as part of a RMA process is giving me D0 not matter what CPU I use. I borrowed my buddy's system and my 3600, zotac gtx 970, and 16 gb 3200Mhz Corsair vengeance RGB Pro post on his board, so I know those are good, I've tried his 5600G in the board and it posted ONCE and went back to giving D0. For some reason the forums is not allowing me to upload the image of the standoff. Things I've done so far: Reseat RAM, CPU, GPU Cleared CMOS Several Bios flashes (different versions, board has bios flashback so it's relatively easy and okay to flash older versions) Tried a different CPU with only successful POST Tried 1 stick of ram in each slot, tried mixing his ram with mine. NADA Edit: So ASRock has sent me a prepaid shipping label to send it back... Let's see how this goes Edit #2: Shipping label was a bust, it was for FedEx ground shipping and they are not willing to send me an international one.... This is really pissing me off. Also I've attached the damage I saw on the board when I got it Some background to this saga, bought an x570 taichi last year for my birthday in April and it sat unused for then until about September/October (was waiting on 5900x/5950x prices to drop), one day my cpu was reading 70-96c while streaming some netflix so I tore down the system to check that the pump in my aio didn't die and to repaste but just so happens my buddy brought over his system for me to update the bios and when I slapped on his stock cooler on to my system to just do a quick boot and grab the new bios, system wasn't powering on. Contacted ASRock and went through the RMA process and got back the RMA unit on Wednesday and first thing I saw as I was inspecting it was one of the screws that holds down the m.2 heatshield was loose and taking it off revealed the standoff with it's anchor was ripped from the board, sent a picture to ASRock support and haven't heard back from them as yet. I proceed to try to put my cpu on the board and my gtx 970 and powered it on and boom D0, take out on RAM stcik and trying it in different slots with the same error, flash the most recent bios on their website and still the same error, flash on a couple older ones and same error, ask my buddy to borrow his system and flashed on the bios version that added support for the 5600G and POSTed to bios, so I try the 3600 and gtx 970 again and nothing.

Imagine shelling out for a x570 Taichi and it s…

Now it's not posting again with either cpu

Well after some more dicking around and another bios flash, it posted with the 5600g but it's not posting with my gtx 970 (which is working on the other board with my 3600) and it does not work in any of the 3 pcie slots... Sigh I don't have money to throw at another board, I bout this specifically for it's pcie layout for the m.2 slots. As a btw forums not allowing me to upload the picture of the damage

Tried all my stuff on my friends system and every posts. Cpu, GPU, ram all posted and booted to windows and works. I would really hate to think ASRock sent me a dead motherboard and seeing that one of the motherboard standoffs came already ripped out, I'm not very confident that this board is any good

Even with nothing on the board it's still saying D0,which prompted me to do a bios flash and then try to boot with the 3600 with the same error and then tried the 5600g with the same error

CPU error according to the manual and both the 5600g and 3600 post in the system I borrowed from a friend
  17. Imagine shelling out for a x570 Taichi and it suddenly stops working a few months after use. Now you spend more money to send it back as a part of the RMA process and they sent you back a non working board that has physical damage on it. Tried my old 3600 that was in my build originally and I borrowed a friend's system to try his 5600g and both give me the same D0 error code..... Just lovely sigh

I suppose that's an argument you'll have to try to make with them. If the replacement board showed up pre-damaged let them know and see what they're willing to do for you. Could be a firmware issue special to this board too. You might have to buy another. A different one. From a different manufacturer if you want.

  18. Now that I'v seen this post again, I have to sit down and tinker with this 3600 and see how the memory behaves
  19. I find that I can't win my disputes. Last two times I've used papypal to get a refund because the seller stopped responding after sending the money as goods and services and paypal denied the refund both times. Even attached screenshots and everything and they said evidence wasn't sufficient
  20. Yup, but after some trials. I think there's a short on the pcb for the 1080
  21. Things that died: Strix GTX 1080 Gigabyte z270 7700k 6600k z170s crucuial ballistix 16 gb 2400 Mhz kit cx750m EVGA supernova 650w 3TB WD purple 4TB WD red Only thing that still works is my GTX 970
  22. If only my intel rigs didn't kick the bucket fight before the event lol
  23. I have the feeling my pc is too potato for that atm. Is that mostly CPU or GPU?
  24. Been trying to swap in a 1080 that belongs to a friend but none of my psu's would co-operate and the new one is still stuck in customs Q.Q
