    Most companies buy CPUs based on brand name, not performance, sooooo....

    It's a pitty we are unlikely to use an EPYC servers any time soon though, there is one case where we might but dunno if that service will go ahead at all.

    I convinced my manager to buy one for VM use but now he has to convince the boss who has to convince the board, so that'll be a bust so wwe have a back up plan to buy a ryzen system

    @XenosTech Eh? The backup plan is Ryzen, that seems weird you'd get a no for EPYC and then buy Ryzen.. like it's the same thing essentially lol. I was expecting Intel to be the backup plan.

    lol we don't have intel moneies, and intel doesn't support ECC on the consumer side of things. A 1600/2600/1700/2700 would be nice little VM box for the time being
