Fredrikmikael reacted to An0maly_76 in Is a fan starting and stopping frequently worse for its lifespan than constantly running?
My old man is an electrician. Take from that what you will. What I've learned from him is that there is inherently what is known as an increased "surge load" at startup on most anything electrical combined with mechanical, such as electric compressors and electric motors, or anything driven by a motor. And that extra bit of heat and stress from the current draw through the coils to overcome inertia (or any other undue drag) can and will shorten lifespan over time. So whether from a bearing giving up from constant rotation or the windings / stator, etc.,  in the motors giving up, I really don't think you'll get any more life out of a fan either way.

I don't think the picture gets blurry on a 32inch 1080p I think its the pixels you can see easily do you agree?

Because someone else commented it's not blurry it's the pixels are big

1080p at 32" is a very low PPI(69) which makes the individual pixels distinguishable if you are close to it, so for a TV you are sitting further away from the pixels would not be distinguishable.  but for a monitor you're sitting close to it would not look that sharp even with aggressive anti aliasing. Personally, I would not want anything less than 90+ PPI for a monitor.
    PPI Calculator: https://www.calculatorsoup.com/calculators/technology/ppi-calculator.php

1080p at 24" would be the same PPI as 1440p at 32":

Thank you all for your valuable inputs and perspectives which definately has given some clarity. I think I will end up following my gut and go for one of the two kits I was looking at, likely F4-3200C14D-32GTZR aware that it definately is not the best value, but as I am not that budget constrained and will likely stay on Alder Lake for a long while,(I did manage 7 years on 5820k😅) it might end up justifying staying on Alder Lake for an additional generation before upgrading...
I will definately attempt to take advantage of the "b die" and see what I will be able to squeeze out of them with overclocking upon arrival.

Thanks again all, especially @freeagent@Hairless Monkey Boy!

Fredrikmikael reacted to Emanbaird in What was your first computer?
My first machine was a PIII machine running 95, My dad set me up with SNES emulators and i had a hell of a time, this would've been back in 04, the first PC i really remember was my Athlon II X3, with an 8600GT, i got it for free because my dad built it for the church we went to at the time but it wouldn't boot vista, so they let him keep it.

The first PC i built was a Xeon W3530, and GTX 295 Build, I found the GTX 295 in a literal overstock pile at my dads friends house and he just let me have it. I had to get a MOBO, and i used a sacrificial laptop HDD as a boot drive, but all in all it ran BF3 at 80FPS just fine, and between the free parts and a $50 wal-mart giftcard that bought me 8GB of DDR3 i only spent around $100 getting it running, and then i ran it from 2011-2013 then gave it to my Ex in 2014.God i miss this PC It was the singlehandedly most jank PC i ever built i literally had to reinstall chipset drivers everytime i booted in order to get my GTX 295 to work on both cards.

Fredrikmikael reacted to BlueChinchillaEatingDorito in PC not working cause MotherBoard outdated????
It was essentially done to provide users an upgrade path without having to purchase an entirely new board. An entire PC would not work if your upgraded to a newer CPU without the BIOS update as the BIOS essentially wouldn't know how to interact with the CPU properly.

Someone who does this would've done their research on the matter as this isn't something average joe who bought their PC at BestBuy would do (in fact many OEMS don't even support this feature).

Pc wont start because it does not recognize the cpu in its socket.

Lets say you have a car, you have a 2008 Honda Civic. You have your garage set up to open up when it gets into the driveway. You now just bought a 2010 Civic and tried driving to the garage but it wont open. Its the same type and model car, but because you didnt update the garage to recognize that its your car it will not open. When you update the garage door opener to recognize your new car, it will now work for both the older car and now the newer one.

Alright tnx for saving my time.
I just installed new bios ver that actually made my sys faster which is great lol
Ill see if it still restarts tomorrow morning.
Welp that didnt help Ill try with memtest now.
Scanned with memtest for 2 hours no errors. (1 pass)
Scanned with hddrepair 1 bad sector (fixed) After doing both of it it still crashes.
Does 2. option now matter since it passed memtest ?

I also forgot to say that I have to turn off my pc for around an hour or more to be able to test the solutions coz if I just turn it off and on it wont restart it kinda has to "cool down".
Over time Ill try as many of the above solutions as I can and Ill keep my answer updated.(It will take some time)

I got 9 hours of play time on the game (just the story), but there are a few optional Tombs i haven't ventured though, thinking about replaying the game and going for 100% as it's been around 16 months since i played it last.

Reset the CMOS / move the Jumper on the MB.
Take out all the ram sticks, and insert one of the sticks in DIMM1 (check your motherboard manual to figure out which slot is DIMM1), and try booting.

    Try reseating all power cables.

You could also try a different monitor or cable.

This game has the potential to be so good, but the lacking effort from Valve regarding communication and cheat prevention is severely crippling the game in several areas, one of which being the severely toxic community.
The gameplay at it's core is actually pretty fun, looking away from everything, including the community. It's a shame looking at the direction this game has taken. But the problems this game is facing has been a reality for a long LONG time, and the fact that nothing is really being done isn't just an indication that valve really has their finger up their ass, but also that the game is always going to be an underachiever in regards to meeting our expectations.
Valve could learn a lot in regards to cheat prevention from other companies, including but not limited to Blizzard's Overwatch. And i have also heard good things about the Cheat Prevention in Ubisoft's Rainbow Six: Siege.

I bet i could write an amazing essay or causer on this topic
