Began building for a very small IT company where I ran the retail side of business but started getting involved in back of house repairs and builds and LOVED it. Recently moved to Australia and love the cheap components here! Trying to become a computer technician.

  1. Callum says, "HTC is Here's To Callum!" I'm so punny...
  2. Thanks everyone, I think I'll be a bit more reasonable on the motherboard and spend more on the graphics card. I do prefer to BUY OEMs and SSD vs. HDD is still up in the air...
  3. I did have the 4670k in this bundle but dropped it, hence the 4770k being the last thing in the cart. I'm sucked in quite easy usually.
  4. It just guts me that the extra it would take just to get the 4770k now is minimal, could I maybe get another 660 later if the performances struggles and just bridge them...
  5. Hi, Living in Australia. Just moved so I only have a netbook and a tablet (you can't imagine...) Budget and Prices are $AUD. Budget is $1800. Going to be used for gaming, high end gaming and Wildstar when it launches (so excited) Running a max of maybe three monitors in future but for now one. No need to discuss peripherals. I keep going to www.pccasegear.com and knocking different things together but this is something I keep returning to. Let me know what you think. I know I'm tight on graphics cards...
  6. Fellow Scot advising against an SSD on your budget, it soaks up too much money on a build like this, just get a 1TB Barracuda. Also, performance per pound on this budget go AMD/Radeon. Everyone wants Wintel and SSDs but tighter budgets are best focused elsewhere.
  7. What cooling are you going to use, particularly if you're going to overclock those overclockable components?
  8. Weighing up options just now for a build next month, and I was going to go for a monstrous CM Storm Trooper with the window, simply because I've built with the Storm Stryker and loved the space! But lately I'm really set on the 350D, as an mATX option, let me know how the case fills out! Have Fun!
