I see, looking long term, rather then being great in the short term.

Awesome, I will probably go for the Blue in 6TB to replace all of my drives, 2TB and 2x 500GB

Macbooks are terrible for Gaming Russboy360, what a terrible sugestion to give! ;D

So my gaming performance has been really bad the last few days. Games are dropping to low 10s and just bouncing from 30 to 50 fps.
Also the other day I tried installing the anniversary update to Windows 10 and it failed, so I rolled it back to what it was on before.
Anyway, my HDD, or all three of them are showing a Caution sign in Crystal Disk Info. These were here before I the update tried to happen.
 
I'm now in the process of doing a full backup to ensure I don't lose anything, but are these drives on there way out.
I am just wondering how quickly I need to get a new drive for this and if this is actually a "data threatening" problem.
 
 

I own a GL752VW and can say it is an extremely useful laptop both in it's gaming capabilities, and its day to day uses for browsing the web, writing documents and everything else.  This has been a massive life saver for me over the past few months too.  Let me know if you have any questions I'll be happy to answer them as a current owner of the laptop!

I plugged a 4 pin floppy connector into a CD aux connector on a sound card when I was quite young. The blue smoke that made the sound card work escaped.

So I've had a really pressing question on my mind for the past week or so and that question is:

 

"Is NVidia DSR as difficult to run as actual 4k?"

 

​This question occurred to me while on my GTX 960 4GB G1 Gaming Graphics Card by Gigabyte

I was able to run GTA 5 completely maxed out at DSR 4k (MSAA off obviously) without any real

problems, I was sitting in the mid twenties - low thirties which I could totally deal with at this beautiful

and glorious resolution. So what do you think?

Thanks everyone for your help, and how fast the replies were.

Try this:
1. Open up notepad
2. Copy this into it:
GameTime.Maxvariablefps x (replace the x with one more than your monitors refresh rate. For example mine would be GameTime.Maxvariablefps 61 because I have a 60 htz monitor)
3. Save it in the bf4 install directory as a .cfg file
Thats how you make console commands permanent, and that is the command for framerate limit. Not sure if it will fix your framerate problem though.

1) I haven't asked but I have looked around and people have asked the same, and the ideas didn't work

3) The CPU is between 30% and 80% and the GPU is between 20% and 60%

I have that same problem. I remember BF3 used to be rock-stable (heck, I could run it at max settings, at 720p, with just a GTX 550 Ti, and get 40+ FPS at all times), but BF4 has so much framerate lags. Almost never stays above 30 fps (can't count it, as FRAPS crashes BF4... The hell, EA?). No matter what settings I run it with, it performs the same. And I was starting to think that my GPU is shite... Seems like it could be an issue with the game itself, but I don't know.
 
More additional info (pardon the file size):

 
No issues with RAM, CPU nor GPU. GPU load was at around 20 - 60% (never went past 60%), CPU load never went above 90%, and RAM usage sticked to 12GB (BF4 took only ~5GB. The rest was for Chrome...). But still, framerate couldn't stay above 30 FPS.

disable dynamic super res, then set up surround, then reenable dsr if you wish
