  1. They're both good, as you gathered. K7XX has the edge because it is actually a more expensive headphone, offered at a low price through Massdrop. Ultimately, you're asking us to tell you which one you would prefer more, which is an impossible task.
  2. These look good based on reviews. T1 has a good reputation and these seem to be a reasonable streamlining of them for a tighter budget.
  3. Not recommended for use on the bus. More likely the problem will be hearing damage due to the excessive volume needed to defeat ambient noise. Get some compact closed headphones or in-ears for mobile use.
  4. You don't actually know what you want. Just get the M50X and worry about the next CPU u will buy or whatever it is u do.
  5. @Daniel Z. I recommend that you forget about any of these headphones and get the ATH M50X. Should be about your level and you won't need to worry about nuances of sound signature and so on.
  6. There's this thing called a "4hum" ware posts r made for u 2 r33d 4 all time. Lulz
  7. How many times do you plan on asking the same question? I don't know how I could have been more fucking clear than the last one.

    DIY Sound Absorbtion

I've seen this video posted here at least 5 times. If you're cheap, this should work for a couple spot panels here and there.
  9. Boosted bass and treble. Just read some reviews of the headphones. These are such staples of personal audio that there is no shortage of direct comparisons.
  10. K7XX has the cleanest bass. HD 650 has the most "detail" (not a word I like to use). The HD 650 is smoother, cleaner and more refined than the 598, but there is certainly a family resemblance. For the price difference, I would shoot for the Massdrop 6XX if possible. But, that's a priority that you'll need to decide for yourself.
  11. @Dackzy is busy these days and won't tell you anything different.
  12. I don't have multiple cheap DACs and amps (not "AMP"). I have a Fiio E10 which is too much of a cheap POS to bother selling. And I have the Modi, which I do not use at the moment. Selling stuff is a pain and I do not need the money, so I'm keeping it along with the Magni. At the end of the day, it sounds like you may be over-researching this. Like I said, you can do what you like, but if you just want decent sound for the HD 650, skip the DAC for now.
  13. Haven't got around to it. In any case, it's not relevant, or your business.
  14. That's how I know what I'm talking about, unlike people on reddit and youtube who have no actual experience with audio gear. You seem determined do buy a DAC, and of course you must do what you feel is best. I'm just saying that low-end DACs in my experience do not make much difference. Your dollars would be better spent elsewhere.
  15. Well, believe what you like. I'm just trying to save you $150. When I said your music sucks, I meant the mastering, not the file file or streaming format. What kind of stuff do you listen to?
  16. Audio is not something you "invest" in. It is a hobby that sucks up money for personal enjoyment. HD 650 will scale with better gear, but hanging around in the realm of most $150-500 DACs is going to amount to a few percentage points of improvement. Your music probably sucks in terms of mastering and likely doesn't have enough detail to warrant a DAC upgrade.

    MOBO Audio

Get better speakers before you start worrying about which DAC is better..
  18. The correct answer is that you should not bother with a DAC until or unless you level up your audio setup more.
  19. The HE-560 is not easy to drive, but why bother with either if what you have already sounds impressively good? I have extensive listening time of the Magni 2 with the HE-560 and the pairing is nice, but not worth worrying about if you are already satisfied with your current source.
  20. In terms of sound the HD 650 is superior. Sure, the K7XX may be better in one or two categories such as bass quality and quantity, but overall the HD 650 has the advantage in response, integration across the frequency range, and technicalities. As with anything subjective, some may find the sound K7XX superficially more preferable. Expanding on the point about the HD 650 being better built, keep in mind that nearly every part of the HD 650 can be replaced by the user without tools (once the warranty runs out, of course). This includes the drivers, which do not require soldering. IMO this is a significant advantage and an oft overlooked engineering accomplishment of Sennheiser.
  21. Exactly what I said? sonic: denoting, relating to, or of the nature of sound or sound waves. benefit: an advantage or profit gained from something.
  22. For $200, yes. Even if you don't find much sonic benefit, just about every part of the HD 650 can be replaced without tools by the user for not much money, including the drivers.
