  1. The second link worked for me, oh well, its to a Yoga 730. I've recently found out that EGPU docks for thunderbolt are $180 and up. So I think I'll sell my GPU. Thoughts on this G3 15 3579? Ebay G3 Laptop
  2. I know its an old meme, but I left my f**** at the door ? Anyway, seems a common thing on here but I'm looking for a laptop recommendation. I know deep down, that I should be investing in a tower PC, but I'm a student so laptops are super handy. I've got ~$700 to spend, more is okay with me too. I have a PowerColor R9 380 graphics card, which I plan to use in an EGPU set up. So I need a thunderbolt port. That being said, I don't need powerful on board graphics. Used is totally okay with me. Lastly, if its not too much to ask, the less it looks like it just rolled off the set of Transformers the better. Thought's on these? https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAEYA8GC2288&Description=thunderbolt&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=thunderbolt-_-9SIAEYA8GC2288-_-Product https://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=9SIAEYJ7VJ1621&Description=thunderbolt&ignorebbr=1&cm_re=thunderbolt-_-9SIAEYJ7VJ1621-_-Product

    Laptop Wifi

I got so damn tired of playing games at 14 FPS on my laptop (I'm broke, don't lecture me about towers) so I've decided to go the EGPU route. This involved me pulling my Wifi card out, and slipping the EGPU dock into the mPCIE slot on the motherboard. Question is, how to I get the internets back into my laptop? Any recommendations on WIFI options? Running an ethernet cable just isn't practical for me, though my laptop does have an ethernet port. The other interesting port is a DVD drive, but I doubt anything can plug into that, lastly of course I have USB. Some of them have blue tabs in them, whatever that means. Thanks!
  5. A long while ago I used my mouse like normal. The buttons on the side were forward and backward on my browser and file explorer, the tilt of my mouse wheel controller side scrolling. Typical functionality. Then one day for no discernible reason my side buttons controlled Spotify (I never tried any other program) The forward back buttons controlled next song last song, the sensitivity button was pause play (and did not control the sensitivity of the mouse anymore) wheel tilt was volume up and down. Now, it's back to normal. I really liked this mode, but I also like the regular mode too. Does anyone know anything about this? Can I switch modes? Also my mouse is nothing special a $15 Gear Head mouse. Thanks guy
  6. So I'm trying to make my moms 2 year old Lenovo run a little faster. Because my pasta it is slow. I opened up the task manager to check the loads. It's only using 23% of its processor power. The clock is running at like 0.40 ghz. So I figured thermal throttling, I downloaded HWmonitor to check the CPU temps. However they weren't listed, but I noticed HWmonitor listed the utilization at 100% and the clock speed at max 2.16 ghz. Anyone have any ideas why this is?
