no. best looking? subjective. Best value? nope. The thing will die on you cause Razer cheaps out on everything. You're much better off looking at a refurb T460 or X260. @Mark77 @Droidbot or the Dell or HP business lineup. 
 
Also Thinkpad Outlet is pretty amazing too. Get a better laptop for like 600 dollars. And you can actually upgrade things and better battery life, and better performance and better durability too. 

Since it already has a kaby lake cpu (kaby lake isn't that old yet), i'm guessing there's not going to be a new version for quite a while

Thats up to you, I would wait untill it comes out and see if you still think its worth it(I don't think it will flop but you have to be sure), if then, go for it!

Depends if you still have 3DS games you like, or if you use your 3DS on the move a lot. The Switch isn't backwards compatible with any previous console, nor is it pocket sized, so personally I'd hang on to the 3DS.

1. Which console you should keep is no one else's decision but your own.  Which games you have, which games you want to play, and what hardware you can afford is all up to you. 
 
2. Never trade in hardware to Gamestop. It's no secret that they re-sell what they buy, and it's equally no secret that they're a business and are in it for the money.  You won't get street value for it.  It's exactly the same as trading in a car for a new one or selling it on the street.  Simplicity versus value. 
 
3. Between eBay and PayPal double-dipping (they're the same company) you for fees, you'll loose approximately 12.9% in your TOTAL sale price.  Item price plus shipping. Consider that when you're decided where to sell it.

If you have a 3GB, just turn AA down, keep in mind these are average framerate numbers and as such don't account for dips (both cards may go down to the 40s at ultra especially in areas that are CPU bound)

if you just want to watch rocket league esports matches the best place to go is the RocketLeague twitch channel. Watch the previous matches. If you want to know when the next matches are streaming then you'll have to wait until december 3rd and 4th for the finals of the RLCS (Rocket League Champion Series) which is basically the RL World Cup.
 
If you want to play the game yourself and play competitively you should watch tutorials on youtube and just play every chance you get.

This would come down to personal preference. What's more important to you? Gaming on pc or having a nice laptop for school? For me it's gaming which is why I don't own a laptop and do everything on my desktop anyways.

Build it, so much more value and then you could always just sell one of your consoles for a cheap laptop to use for productivity while you aren't home.

If you turn down settings you can get away with 4k, but you still need SLI 1080s if you really want to max out 4k.

OR get 4k, play at lower res/settings and you can get another 1070 later if you want for 4K. Only use the 4k for media, not gaming.
