    Haven't had to, stable yeah and voltage is dropping at idle same as before only difference is the max voltage i see now is 1.38 instead of 1.48.

    I recommend the MSI B450 Tomahawk MAX. The MAX series are updated and supports 3rd gen Ryzen out of the box. Really solid board for the price.

    €200 is what the chip along usually goes for where I'm at, so a decent deal

    Depending on the use case, you can build a superior system for less, a Ryzen 5 1600 and a good B450 board comes in at more affordable with 2 more cores, but if you want the 4790k for gaming performance then it is better. If he won't go lower, the price is good but not amazing.
