Welcome to the LTT forums! Haven't the foggiest about the the Phillips hue, for everything else though, assuming that you don't want/need breakneck SSD speeds an old or cheap pc paired with an HDD of the desired volume it should be able to do the trick (preferably with windows unless you feel like learning Linux or another solution, and *window is really easy to set a NAS up with), as almost anything remotely modern (Core 2 duo or later) come standard with a gigabit ethernet.
The real issue comes down to the game server, as I imagine that you want to run a dedicated server, in which case the requirements come down the game you wish to host, otherwise if you are looking just to store your files that falls under the NAS function listed earlier.

Regarding network you are likely going to want an unmanaged network switch like this one, as well as an access point of your choice Ubiquity or otherwise, though if you are looking for a consumer based solution I personally recommend taking a look at ASUS routers (such as this one) as they have the ability to be turned into a mesh network when you wish to upgrade your setup.

*Regarding the setup of a Windows based NAS I am going to reference this reply I made previously :

Disclaimer: THIS IS GENERAL ADVICE I DID NOT LOOK UP THIS MOUSE.
That out of the way, I would recommend taking a pry tool to where this plastic meets, as the bottom piece likely has clips holding it in. They may have also hidden screws under the pads. Those may have also been the screws that hold in the mainboard, and not the screws that hold the mouse together.

    Welcome to the LTT forums!
What version of Minecraft are you running?
I assume that you are likely running Java.
In which case you are dealing with a single threaded application, i.e. it only can use one of your four cores due to how it was coded (as it was developed in an era where one or two cores were the norm).
Anyhow as Java can only use one core and you have four, task manager or whatever monitoring application you are using is probably displaying the average load over all four cores, and as your other cores are not doing anything, save for one running the OS and all of the other bloat or secondary processes.
Assuming this is the case then your other cores are all free real estate for another server or something.

Wh0_Am_1 got a reaction from Tan3l6 in will the cpu bottleneck with this gpu?
In most applications it really shouldn't especially if you have the settings at a decent level. The Ryzen 7 7700 should be more than enough for that GPU in most applications.

The HDD may have died by itself or the board may have killed most likely the former, as drives just die sometimes (back up your data) anyhow.

Now for your first question! The answer lies to the board itself some models the answer is yes it will work just fine, others the drive and the board are paired at the factory with an encryption key for "Security reasons". The only way to find out other than looking the model up and whatnot is trying it yourself.

Brand new does not mean that it's not defective, the highest failure rates are at the beginning and the toward the end of a product life expectancy, There is a decent chance  that if you or your motherboard has not enabled PBO that it is defective

With PBO enabled higher end the 5000 series RUN HOT, with my 5900X when under load with PBO enabled, and fans cranked, I regularly hit 85 to 90C when running Blender and my case vents completely opened. When I was running MSI Kombuster,,, I was in the mid 90s, I was stunned.... I went and reinstalled MY NH-D15 just to make sure I applied the thermal paste correctly, to my surprise... I did... the 5000 series just cooks.

Unity is a big company, I doubt that this is really going to stop them this is likely just another PR move to hold over the masses until the outrage settles down. Hopefully we see decent alternatives soon.. no time like the present to bring a new or more likely update an old game engine to market for competition. I am sure that a lot of indy devs will flock to a new competitor at this point.

For that price you might as well, you'll probably make back most of the cost on the 1050 Ti alone. It'll be a ~$20-30 upgrade most likely, and at that point you might as well give it a shot.
